Inspired by the changing leaves of fall, these limited edition notebooks feature covers that match the leaf colors of three trees found in Virginia's Shenandoah National Park: the Sweet Birch, the Chestnut Oak, and the Red Maple. Each notebook's cover is made from two different cover stocks fused together using a process called duplexing. The outside of the cover matches the tree's summer colors, while the contrasting inside cover matches its fall colors. This duplexing also gives the covers an extra-sturdy feel. The back cover of each notebook features interesting facts about the tree it is inspired by and an illustration of one of its leaves. Inside, each notebook is filled with 24 sheets of 60# Finch Opaque Bright White paper with a 3/16 inch grid. The covers and pages inside are acid-free. Like other Field Notes books, these are durable and flexible, designed to survive any pant pocket. They are bound with a rugged three-staple saddle-stitch process. Inside the front cover, you can write in your contact information and, with a sense of humor, indicate whether or not the person who returns your lost book will be rewarded. The inside back cover lists "practical" applications for the memo books such as #16, "Deciduous Decisions". The Field Notes story and further specifications are also presented. The books are manufactured and printed in the USA. This pack includes 3 memo books, each containing 48 pages (24 sheets). The pack is held together with a band made from real birch veneer.
