So agreed about weddings being better when no one is concerned about perfection! Haven't really been to too many of those though! (I wonder how many weddings the average person goes to in their lifetime? They're fun... but wow- they take it out of you!) I must say I was so cool about my own wedding, as I had no rehearsal, no food tasting, no bridal gown fitting (it was made in Manila, I could not be bothered going all the way there for fitting, I did have one mock-up fitting though), whatsoever. I am an event planner, for my job I dry-run my events again and again to minimize errors, so when the moment really comes, there is no excitement for me anymore, it runs like a military op in my head minute by minute. My wedding was my only event without being played before it really happened. And I thought it was so so cool as I was sooooooo excited!

I think the nicest weddings are when they are about celebrating the couple's new life and not about the stuff. I went to one that was a lot of fun, and it was basically a pot luck!
