Friends on Polyvore that you know in real life:
None. I view Polyvore as my online "getaway" of sorts, where I am not held to the standards of anyone I know in real life. It would be cool to meet some of my polyvore friends, though!
And anyone else who secretly has a Polyvore.
Friends on Polyvore that you don’t know in real life / people whose sets I love:
@katrinaballerina @hotter-than-the-sun, @madixo @ahdorable @luxecouture @thevintageteacup @shellebelle @karineminzonwilson @cindaaa @lovenicolexo @karalaballerine and sooo many others!
Can you remember your last dream?
No, but that's unusual for me.
3 places you’d like to go on vacation?
Australia, Italy, Greece, and basically any place in Europe / any place that has beautiful architecture.
Do you like chocolate?
We're engaged to be married.
Which is your favorite body part of the human face and why?
Blue eyes. Oh, and if you look at all similar to Matthew Gray Gubler, you're on my list.
Do you like rainy days or snowy winter days more?
Considering I live a part of California that doesn't get snow, I enjoy rainy days. It makes for great photography. I am Canadian, though, and do appreciate a good snow day.
Which is your favorite four legged creature?
I'm going to cheat and pretend the "four legged" part didn't exist. I love penguins. But if it absolutely has to be four-legged - cats.
Do you like spicy food?
I cannot stand spicy, mainly because my stomach doesn't handle it very well.
Do you remember your favorite teacher?
Of course! My favorite was my sophomore year Honors American Literature teacher. I'm going to be contacting her for teacher recs for my college applications in the spring :)
Tell me about your favorite book, magazine, or comic.
Magazines: Teen Vogue, Lucky, People Style, National Geographic, and some more I'm probably forgetting.
Books: The Catcher in the Rye, Looking for Alaska, The White Queen (and anything Philippa Gregory), The Last Song, Shiver, The Hunger Games trilogy, Walden (for more book recommendations, visit my good reads page: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/8943473-brie-alexandra)
Tell me about the last movie you watched.
The Odd Life of Timothy Green. It was potentially one of the cutest movies I've ever seen. I have to admit that I almost cried at least once. I watched We Bought a Zoo just before that.. potentially one of the best movies I've ever watched.
Tell me about your favorite music/band.
My musical interests are all over the place. I love anything that isn’t heavy metal or dubstep-y. I listen to Lana Del Rey, Luke Bryan, Marina & The Diamonds, AWOLNATION, Grouplove, Hunter Hayes, Bon Iver, Florida Georgia Line, Kimbra, John Mayer, Phillip Phillips, and others.
3 favorite foods?
Gnocchi; bananas with nutella; Panda Express honey walnut shrimp.
Do you like to shop?
I love shopping, but only if the mall/store isn’t busy. (Hint: I go shopping on Tuesday afternoons – one of the many perks of being homeschooled!) I do the majority of my shopping at Target, Forever21, H&M, Ulta and Sephora. With this being said, I do love to do a lot of my shopping online.
Are you usually late, early, or right on time?
I prefer to be early, but it really depends on the rest of my family. I pretty much go everywhere with them. My dad and I are usually ready to go before my mom & brother.
Are you happy with your life for the most part right now?
I guess I have every right to be happy with my life. If I’m being honest, I feel that there’s something missing – but I can’t put my finger on what that is.
What would be harder, telling someone that you love them or that you don’t?
I’m going to copy Katrina’s answer: I think it depends a lot on the person/situation.
What’s your middle name?
How big is your bed?
Twin… aka tiny. The only advantage I have to owning a twin bed is that I will be used to it when I eventually live in a dorm room.
What music are you listening to right now?
The new episode of Law & Order: SVU in the background.
Who was the last person you hugged?
How is the weather right now?
Dark. Cold. Winter-y.
Are you a different person now than you were 5 years ago?
5 years ago, I was almost 11. I’d just filmed a movie, and was totally obsessed with all things American Girl (which, in fact, does pertain to my movie gig). I wasn’t really concerned with my future at that point in my life. Now, I’m totally devoted to my education and my future. I wouldn’t change who I am now for the world, but I don’t regret my childhood.
I’m obsessed with bananas. But I like pretty much any fruit except grapefruits and oranges.
Do you have a collection of anything?
Shoes; Clothes; Makeup; Seventeen magazines (December 2009-current issue); Books; Sticky notes.
Have you ever had a crush on a best friend?
Mmm I don’t think so. That would be weird.
Would you ever tell a person you have a crush on that you like him/her?
I have once, and it went ok. I guess it depends on who it is and what their personality is like.
Do you consider yourself popular?
Have you ever cut yourself on purpose?
Would you ever date someone older than you?
Younger than you?
Honestly, I think dating a guy younger than you is a little weird. I’d rather date someone older than me than younger.
Have you ever been on a diet?
I’ve made lifestyle changes involving food, but I’ve never gone on a “diet”.
Have you ever gotten detention?
Nope. Perks of being a homeschooler.
Do you usually prefer books or movies?
I love both for different reasons. Though I usually prefer books over their movie adaptations, I can say that I love books because you get to envision characters and settings for yourself, but I love movies because everything is laid out for you… and sometimes, stories are just better when they’re presented visually.
Have you ever written a love letter?
I don’t think so!
Are you a morning person or a night person?
A night person by far. I will literally clean my room at 1 AM if I am awake. I can read endlessly during the nighttime, and I also find myself doing homework assignments late at night.
Do you make wishes on shooting stars?
Yes, if see them.
Celebrity role models?
Blair Waldorf and Kate Middleton are two that stand out in my mind. I take inspiration more from bloggers, such as: Sarah Vickers of Classy Girls Wear Pearls, Becky of Milk Bubble Tea, Carly Heitlinger of College Prepster, and various YouTubers.
Who would you want to be tied to for 24 hours?
Fictional character? Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds.
Real person? Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Gray Gubler, or Andrew Garfield
How many piercing do you have?
What is the longest crush/relationship you have had?
Probably a 1-year crush.
What is the meanest thing anyone has ever said about you?
I don’t even remember, honestly. I used to get bullied a lot, but I try not to think about those days.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
A lot of people tell me I sounds like Taylor Swift when I sing country music, though I don’t know that that’s the best compliment ever. I think the most memorable compliment I’ve ever received was from Jada Pinkett Smith on the Red Carpet telling me how great I looked in my dress at the premiere of the movie I filmed.
What does your username mean?
I think it’s pretty straightforward. Xo – brie (the first half of my first name) – Alexandra (my middle name).
Have you ever made a prank phone call?
Ummmm, I can’t remember if I have or not. Probably.
Do you smoke?
No; both of my parents smoke and I really have no desire.
Have you ever been drunk?
That’s a funny joke.
Have you ever cried during a movie?
I tear up sometimes, but I can’t remember if I’ve ever actually flat-out cried. My mom says I have a heart of stone, haha.
Do you take the shampoo/conditioner bottles from hotel?
It really depends on the reason why I was at the hotel. If the trip means something special to me, then I’ll take something or keep the room keycard.
Do you always smile for pictures?
If I want my picture to be taken, then I’ll smile. If not, I just end up looking bored/dead in the picture.
