Twiggy, the name is forever connected with change of things to come.
She was a slender waif with huge eyes.
Yardley of London Glimmericks, ballet flats, huge sunglasses, and pink pink lips.
Lush eye lashes were a must.
The simple lines of the sheath dress, followed by the A-line and the empire waist dress was the fashion of the day.
Make up, fashion, hair..all of this was happening in a flash.
Women realized they could be whatever they wanted to be.
Throw away that apron, go out in the world, and see what you can be.
Although the Blythe doll did not arrive till later, she always reminded me of Twiggy.

hi there @more-is-more One of the things I remember vividly about the 60's was the fact it was the hippie era, and everyone on the mountain called anyone with long hair a beatnik, teeheee. They also thought all teens had lost their minds cause they were gaga over something called, The BEATLES...Oh my, I remember that well...everyone on the mountain on the lookout for beatniks and beatles, teeeheee...seriously, this is true

Twiggy would love this outfit!! It would love her! Ah the 60's!! Would love to visit this wonderful time again (in my late teens or early twenties) this is the perfect age to visit the 60"s! (also the perfect weight!) Ha! I was a baby hippie...wanted to go to Woodstock..too bad I couldn't drive...could maybe reach the steering wheel!! But, I was a peace-lovin' kid! A-plus set!

Hi Sweetie, actually I am going to Zihuatanejo on Friday for a few weeks, but I'll have my computer with me so it will be business as usual, just in a sunny, warm climate with an amazing view! Thanks so much for being such a doll!! XXO

Hi there @doozer...hey, you are way cool ...miss you..saw someone made a set for you and I think it mentioned you went on vacation....hope the waves were good to you :-) Twiggy, because of her, I lived on raisins and sweet pickles for 2 weeks to loose weight ( in those days, one made up their own diet )...the raisins were for iron, and the sweet pickles...well, my Mom canned the best sweet pickles in the world, so, they were my tweet. It worked too...lost a few pounds, but still had curves, no striaght body like Twiggy :-( Good to sewe that doozer name :-) you cool, so cool

LOVE this Linda!! She is just the epitome of the 1960's!! I don't remember too much about her except that she was pretty and skinny! But I've grown to understand what an influence she had on fashion..and I am fascinated with the whole Carnaby Street time and everything from London at that period since I LOVE the Beatles!!
