This morning I don't know what woke me up, but when I opened my eyes, I saw myself standing at the side of my bed watching myself sleep. I couldn't see my face but it was almost definitely my body. Then I rubbed my eyes and then it was gone. 
But all throughout today I've been seeing the same figure but as a shadow and it's really scaring me. 
I'm trying to keep my mind occupied with things, but it's not working all that well. I just keep worrying, this definitely isn't normal right?

@skinny-love The person who told me about lucid dreaming told me that to start dreaming you had to just think really hard about something you wanted to dream about and then it would just happen. When your body was asleep, could you move any part of you? Talking about ghosts and stuff really creeps me out too, but I love talking about it, and I love the creeped out feeling too. But now I feel really paranoid that there's something watching me, my friend told me that 80% of the time that you wake up in the middle of your sleep it's because someone's watching you.

I've tried lucid dreaming before too and it worked for a bit like I was alert but my body was asleep but I couldn't start dreaming... it was weird. But sleep paralysis can definitely happen before you wake up. Yeah it doesn't explain why you've been seeing it, that's odd, especially since the shadow is you. (Even just thinking about that creeps me out, I'm the biggest weenie when it comes to ghosts and such.)

@skinny-love I've heard about them both before, I've tried to lucid dream but I always fall asleep. I thought that they were both to do with when you fall asleep and not when you wake up. But I was thinking that was what it could be, but it wouldn't explain how I continued to see it.
