The JetPens Drawing Pen Sampler is a collection of fine-tipped drawing pens for sketches, comics, illustrations, notes, and much more. Though all eleven of these drawing pens have fine tips and black ink, each also has subtle differences. In addition to varying ink characteristics, like permanence and fade-resistance, each pen also has a unique tactile feel on paper. Try them all and see which best fits your writing or drawing style! Kuretake Zig Cartoonist Mangaka Created specifically for manga artists, this water-based pen is formulated to be smudge-proof when used with common manga supplies like watercolors and alcohol-based markers. Marvy Le Pen Technical The Marvy Le Pen Technical contains pigmented ink that resists bleedthrough and is permanent when dry. The barrel is slightly wider, making it more comfortable to hold if you’re inking for hours at a time. Pilot Drawing Pens We’ve included both the water-based and oil-based versions of the Pilot Drawing Pen in this sampler! Both contain dark ink that is great for all kinds of drawing and writing. The oil-based pen has the additional perk of being able to write on various surfaces like glass and plastic. Rotring Tikky The Tikky contains Free-ink, a special pigment ink formulated by Rotring. It writes slightly wetter than others, so the line it lays down is more bold. Use it in your comics when you need a thicker line for extra emphasis! Sakura Drawing Pens The iconic Micron is well-loved for its permanent and archival quality PIGMA ink, while the Microperm is known for its permanence and multi-surface capabilities. Artists often use the Micron with watercolors and markers, while the Microperm is best for permanent writing on craft surfaces like paint, plastic, photos, and more. Stabilo Sensor Finelier Stabilo’s Sensor pen is good for the heavy-handed writer! The tip has a micro-cushion that adjusts to your writing pressure, which keeps it from getting frayed with frequent use. Staedtler Drawing Pens The Staedtler Pigment Liner contains ink that is acid-free, archival quality, and fade-resistant, making it good for artworks and letters you want to preserve for years to come. If you don’t need that many technical ink qualities, the more affordable Staedtler Triplus is slimmer and good for taking notes on the go. Uni Pin The sleek Uni Pin contains pigment ink that is both waterproof and fade resistant. The tip writes with slightly more friction on the page than the others, which is good for slow and precise technical drawings. The pens included in this sampler are listed again below, in the Products Included section.
