The music was deafening before we even stepped through the VIP door at Jade Nightclub, but once inside it was impossible to hear my own thoughts.
“Whoooa! We are gonna have some fun tonight girls!” Claire managed to yell through the booming music and chatter.
I followed her gaze, seeing a hot guy walking past. His eyes roamed over each of us.
Remembering that our guys were supposed to meet us at the club, I glanced looked away from his obvious flirting. It was impossible to see very far into the crowd so I gave up the search after a little while and followed the girls to the bar.
“Long Island, please,” I said to the bartender.
After we paid for our drinks, we made our way to a large, empty table. The music, as we expected, was amazing and it was difficult to be patient as I waited for the guys to show up; I desperately wanted to drag Hart onto the dance floor. I barely even noticed Scarlett and Docia leaving the table. I gave Scarlett a questioning look and she leaned over to answer.
“Bathroom!” she yelled in my ear so I could hear her.
I nodded, watching as Summer got up to join them. Arianna scooted next to me as soon as they were gone.
“You’re looking pensive,” she said, sipping her drink.
“Just waiting for the guys,” I answered, shrugging my shoulders. “Are you filming tomorrow?”
“Yup, but not in the morning, thankfully,” she said giggling and motioning to her drink.
“I can’t wait to see it!”
She smiled modestly.
“Here’s to your success, Ari!” I said, holding up my glass.
She clinked her glass to mine, opening her mouth to say something.
“Isn’t that Caylee Sanders?!” Lilly yelled, leaning over to us.
We followed her gaze and saw Caylee Sanders just outside the VIP section surrounded by the rest of the Dretler and Lindel girls. She had a sash draped around her that read ‘Birthday Girl.’
“And there’s Serena, of course,” Victoria announced, her voice still disgusted even though it was straining over the music.
My head automatically snapped up. Sure enough, coming out of the bathroom and looking like the morning-after, was Serena Oaks. Summer, Scarlett, and Docia were behind her with the boys. I stood from my seat and waved them over, trying my best to ignore Serena’s infuriating presence all the while.
“What’s up ladies?!” Chace greeted, being one of the first to get within earshot.
I paid no mind to anyone else as they all greeted their boyfriends (or date in Claire’s case). My eyes were locked on Hart; I hadn’t seen him in such a long time.
“Hey, sexy!” he said into my ear as soon as we embraced.
He pressed his warm lips to my temple, running his hands down my back. It was heaven to be in his strong arms again.
“I missed you, monkey!” I yelled, leaning up so he could hear me.
He chuckled, his entire body shaking with the action, before bending his head to capture my lips in a kiss.
“Well, what do you know? You’re not salty!” he joked.
I giggled, lightly slapping his shoulder. He feigned pain, dropping his lean body onto an empty seat, dragging me with him. For the first time, my attention shifted from his green eyes to the people around us.
“Oh, get a room!” I said jokingly to Summer and Marc who were embraced in a passionate kiss.
The table rang with laughter. One by one, the couples got up and hit the dance floor, the atmosphere charged with alcohol and giddiness. I was already feeling a little tipsy when Hart pulled me to the dance floor. ‘Turning Me On’ was blasting through the club and I could safely say that Hart was definitely turning me on. His smooth dance moves and subtle teasing were driving me crazy.
“Stop torturing me,” I said into his ear.
I could feel his lean body shaking with laughter as he pulled me closer. His warm breath crawled up my neck, making my mind cloud over. I jumped slightly in his arms when I felt his soft lips kissing up my neck.
"Make me," he breathed.
My spine tingled. Our bodies were still moving to the music, but my mind was in a completely different place.
Before I could explode with desire, the song came to an end and Hart pulled away slowly. His eyes were lustful and intense. Our breathing a lot heavier, we made our way back to the table. It was pretty obvious everyone was just as tipsy as Hart and me. I had no idea what after-parties they were planning for themselves, but I couldn’t take my eyes off of Hart.
“My roommate’s gone for the weekend,” he whispered in my ear as we left the club.
I smiled, grabbing his hand and approaching the waiting town car.
“What are we waiting for?”
