Gisele better watch out: The supermodel‘s five-year-old niece may soon take her place in the spotlight. Duda Bundchen, the daughter of Gisele‘s sister, has not only landed a gig as the face of Brazilian children’s clothing company Brandili Mundi, she’s also been tapped to design a line for the brand, Forbes is reporting. Duda was chosen as Brandili Mundi’s spokesmodel last year, and apparently the campaign was so successful that the brand decided to take it one step further and let the kid design her own line. Hey, why not? [Ed note: We wonder what struggling designers think when they hear a toddler is getting her own clothing line...] And if you’re thinking Brandili Mundi only used Duda’s name for the ‘Duda Bundchen For Brandili Mundi’ collection, and didn’t actually let a five year old have any say in the design process (like we thought), well, you’re wrong. “She told us about her preferences on prints, cuts and details, and based on the briefing we received from her we came up with a collaborative collection,” Germano Costa, the commercial and marketing director of Brandili Textil, the parent company to Brandili Mundi, told Forbes. “The pieces were all approved by Duda, whose romantic inspiration will no doubt catch girls’ eyes.” So there you have it, we’ll soon be able to lay our eyes on clothes designed with a toddler’s “romantic inspiration,” in mind.

Karen Walker’s eyewear ads are consistently distinctive for their stark, minimalist portraiture and subversive campaign models. Case in point: for its first summer collection, the brand teamed with “Advanced Style” blogger Ari Seth Cohen and used women of a certain age — between 65 and 92, specifically — as its models. Now, for its second summer collection of eyewear, which launches internationally today, the brand has tapped a much younger set of faces, aged between 3 and 5.
