Hello everyone and Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Night! We would like to congratulate Danielle, @alva-hazel-the-anon , for being our first ever Anon Of The Week! Please take the time out of your day to private message her and to congratulate her on winning!
Q: How did you hear about Polyvore?
A: Uh, first I was just randomly surfing the web and I found a fashion site, I clicked it, and made an account but I only used it to make clothes sets. I didn't know what an anon was until one followed me, she said anons were people who helped others and I really wanted to help people, so I decided to try it out. I know, it's a long story.. Heh.
Q: So is that why you became an anon? Or is there more of a reason?
A: That's about it, I just wanted to let people know that someone cared. And to make a difference in someone's life If I could. Mainly just to be a friend.
Q: What have you learned about being an anon?
A: I learned that there's a lot of amazing people that need help. They need a shoulder to lean on, someone to be there. And no matter what, I learned never to give up on anyone, because they're worth it. And they need to realize what they're worth.
Q: Have you ever been in a relationship with someone on Polyvore and did that affect the way you helped people? Did you help out less? More?
A: Yea, I've been in a relationship before. I don't think it really affected anything I did as an anon, I still cared about everyone, nothing could ever make me care any less. But after a break up, i think it helps you give better advice to other people who have been through a break up, too. Even if I'm in a relationship on here, people's problems and happiness my first priority. Their feelings over mine. Always.
Q: Aw Thats sweet! What do you think about hate?
A: Heh, Thank you c: Honestly, I think hate is the most horrible thing anyone could ever do. It hurts when I see people depressed, or wanting to hurt themselves or commit suicide because someone else decided to bully or hate on them. It's horrible. I've never been bullied by anyone, so I could only imagine how it feels. All the hate needs to stop. That's the reason why the anon and real worlds are becoming what they are. We need to stop hate as soon as we can.
Q: Has being an anon helped you become a better person in Real Life?
A: Definitely. Seeing people who have it worse than me makes me appreciate things more. Whenever I feel sad, I just remember all the people who I'm helping that are so strong, It keeps me going c:
Q: Now that you are 'Anon of the Week' What will you /do/ to make this anon world better?
A: Being anon of the week is really special, so just thanks again... The only way to make it better is to tell anons to focus on making other people happy, whether they're anon or non anon. We're here for a reason, to help. Relationships and making new friends is just a bonus. So, i think I can make it better by telling people how important it is to sty strong. And to never give up on whoever they're helping. By working together to make it better.
Q: Yes, I agree with you on that..So thats what your going to be doing as an anon?
A: Letting people know to stay strong? Definitely.
Q: How do you react when you see someone getting hate but you don't know them?
A: I react just like I would if I knew them. I usually say not to listen to the hate an I try to calm them down and let them know everything's gonna be okay. They don't deserve hate and not to pay attention. Sometimes that's how I make good friends on here.
Q: How did you start off as an anon? What did you think about the anon world when you first started?
A: I first started out not knowing anything about what to do. I didn't even know what an anon was. The only thing I knew was that they helped people, so I started exploring my options. I thought the anon world was full of really great people, and that it would be a good experience to be part of it.
Q: If you were able to change something's about the anon world, what would they be? Why?
A: Hm, I think one if the only things I would change would be the hate. I see it all over, with the mean comments on crush tags, wall wishers, and everything else. We should be here for each other, not be mean and bring people down.
Well that's it for the interview! Once again please take some time out of your day to Congratulate Danielle for being our Anon of the Week!
The next AOTW will be announced in a little bit more then a week!
