"Okay, everyone! Trisha's hid the eggs and it's time to go find them! Ready? Set? Go!"
I watched as the twenty little kids flooded around me, going to pick up the plastic eggs I'd hidden a few moments ago. They were filled with candy and twenty dollar bills.
Just a regular Easter at our household.
"I found the golden egg!" My younger cousin shouted, holding up the shimmering plastic egg. I applauded. The golden egg was the egg everyone wanted; it had two hundred dollars in it.
I looked in the basket hanging on my arm and realized there was an egg inside. I picked it up and slyly threw it across the yard where nobody was.
I reached into the basket again and took out a homemade sugar cookie, taking a small bite and chasing it down with a swig of Evian.
I switched on my Flip video camera and panned around the yard. A few of the kids rushed over and started shoving the eggs in the lens, talking about them endlessly. I laughed and let them talk, making a mental note to upload the video later.
So far, this Easter was great.
