@sadiesue Wow, congrats on the weight loss! That's awesome. Must be so exciting to be able to go out and buy new clothes to fit your new shape. I totally get what you mean about thing being so expensive, though. I've been finally letting go of my "college clothes" and trying to dress with more chic and timeless pieces like the ones in this set, but it's discouraging when you go to the mall and it costs you like $300 to put together an outfit. Have you ever tried secondhand / consignment stores in your area? I've had some really great luck (e.g. I found a gray heather tweed J. Crew skirt at Goodwill for like $9.99!). If you have the patience for shopping, it's like a crazy-fun treasure hunt. :D

I tend to play with bright colors here in P'vore land but in real life, I'm more often found in quieter colors like these (except for bracelets &/or watches - those tend to be my splashes of color, at least in the colder months). Even 3 years after making this set, it's still one of my favorites (I just adore the skirt fabric & the simple yet elegant accessories. In some ways the two sets you just liked represent the real me, or the me I'd like to be. I guess I really ought to make a list of some of the classic basics I love from my sets & go find affordable versions of them (I've just lost 41 pounds & am having to replace most of my wardrobe - I'm thrilled, but it's expensive having to buy everything, from underwear & bras to a new long down winter coat, at once!).
