inspired by QuidProQuo to make a "better than any motivational poster" set. :)

Bob Burnquist is a brave and fearless skateboarder. In competition he does not perform well-rehearsed runs and tricks he knows he can nail. He uses the opportunity as an exercise in creativity and risks losing his standings to break new ground. His specialty is switch stance skateboarding and he always tries to find new ways to make his tricks more original and difficult. The 2001 X-Games vert contest is the most impressive competition he has won. Before his final run - the last run of the event - Burnquist was sitting in second place behind two-time defending champion Bucky Lasek. Burnquist produced a flawless run, including multiple tricks that had never been seen before, and as a result, were unnamed. During the run, commentator Tony Hawk nearly lost his voice, screaming in disbelief. Burnquist was rewarded with a 98, the highest score ever given in skateboard vert.
