I tugged at Jake's hand as his eyes lingered on a lace nightgown hanging on a mannequin. "Jakey!!" I protested, turning my head in his direction and pouting as I looked at him.
"What?" He blinked his eyes at me but smirked, "I was looking for inspiration."
"For what exactly?" I raised one eyebrow at him, trying to hide my amusement. I couldn't ever be serious with him, he was always so silly and put me in the best possible mood. Also I loved him so much that I was too happy to not smile or grin the whole time.
"Your birthday present." He shrugged and pulled me closer to him, our bodies bumping together as he pressed his lips against my ear, "I wonder how sexy you'd look in that one."
I pulled my head back to look at him, a grin playing on my lips once again, "It'd stay on my body for less than 10 seconds anyway. And you like me better in your sweats and a cropped top."
"Your a.ss looks so good when you wear those." He groaned in a whisper as his hands landed on my a.ss.
"Jake!" I giggled like an high school girl as I forged myself to pull away from him, which was the hardest thing in the world and not just because he was so handsy but also because he was the sexiest man ever. "You're getting sidetracked."
He shrugged and wrapped his arm around my shoulders loosely, "No lacy thing I guess." He said then faked a serious face, "Why are we at Barneys? I forgot."
I sighed and rolled my eyes at his silliness, "I want to buy fancy candles for your mom." I explained again as I dragged him toward the stairs, my arm sneaking around his waist.
He gave me a look, "Couldn't you go alone and save me from this Christmas shopping torture?"
"We always did this, every year Jake." I said more seriously, forcing myself to not glare at him. I knew I was spoiled, but he was the one to blame. Even when we were just friends he had always been too good to me.
"But back then I wasn't allowed to touch you, now it's hard for me to behave." He grinned eventually before wrinkling his nose. I loved when he did that.
I wrinkled my nose too before rubbing it against his, "Let's just grab this thing then we can treat ourselves with a hot chocolate." I suggested.
“I'd rather treat myself to something else…..” Jake said seriously, letting his eyes wander down my body.
“Later Jakey” I gave him a wicked smile as I imagined him licking chocolate off my body. The thought was pretty tempting, I wasn't going to lie about that, but sometimes it was nice to stay out too...before coming back home and making love for hours.
“Tease.” He grinned, leaning in to kiss my lips lightly.
“Cutie.” I teased back, grabbing his hand and pulling him down another isle. “What about this one?” I held the red glass candle under his nose and he made a face. “That smells like as.s” He said seriously, making one of the salesmen shoot a look at him, “I mean it’s nice…..” The guy gave him a snooty look and walked away before Jake shook his head. “We can’t give that to my mom.” He said finally.
I forced myself to not crack up. “Okay.” I grinned, my nose scrunching as I smiled and picked up another one. “Vanilla then?” I held it out for him.
He shugged. “That doesn’t smell like anything.” He pointed out.
I dipped my nose into it and then looked up at him, setting my hand on my hip. “You seem to be very opinionated for a guy acting like he doesn’t care about this.”
He shrugged and looked at the price tag. “For 55 dollars it should smell amazing.” He replied seriously.
I grinned. “Good point baby.” I picked up one that said it was jasmine scented and held it up to him.
“This is the last chance for these candles.” He said seriously before taking a sniff. “Okay that one smells pretty good.”
"I know why you like it." I grinned wider as I held the candle close to his nose.
"Why?" He raised one eyebrow at me, looking clueless and super adorable.
"The lotion I use is scented like this." I shrugged, knowing that even mentioning that would cause more dirty t.houghts. Ops.
"Vi." He groaned and rolled his eyes as he took the candle from my hand and set it back to its place, "My parents' living room can't smell like you."
"But I smell like violets." I said innocently, pouting a litte even if it was damn hard to not smirk at the look on his face. "Okay I give up, I'll come back without you silly boy."
He tugged at my arm, almost forcing me to run away as we headed to the elevator which led to the cafè floor, "Thank god." He grinned as the doors closed behind us and he wrapped his arms around me.
I let him nuzzle my neck as I ignored the old ladies giving us bad looks, "You're being a bad boyfriend, you know..." I trailed off, setting my hands on his forearms as I leaned against his hard chest.
"Nope." He said as he kissed my skin softly, causing a shiver to run through my body.
"A bad best friend."
"Doubtful." He smirked and pulled away as the elevator came to a stop. He led me toward the cafè, "You're just too spoiled."
I ignored him as I shrugged my jacket off, "What did you get me for Christmas?" I asked instead, since I was curious to know how he was handling that. The last years my present was usually something I had picked myself and let him know "accidentally".
“What about your birthday?” Jake asked, squeezing my hand.
I shugged. “That too.” I grinned up at him. On one hand I was very I curious, but on the other I knew I already had all I ever wanted. A perfect boyfriend, an amazing best friend, a nice job and happiness.
“Lingerie.” He said seriously.
“It’s my birthday baby not yours.” I grinned.
“So then you know what to get me for Christmas.” He said back.
I shrugged. “I was thinking about a tiny santa’s dress instead.” I said, licking my lips and tilting my head to the side as we stood in line at the café.
“I love that idea.” He grinned.
“You’ll have to decide if I'm naughty or nice.” I said, my voice serious as I struggled to not smirk.
“Probably both.” He grinned, squeezing my hand.
“Probably.” I agreed. “But that still doesn’t tell me what you’re getting me.”
“I'm not going to tell you that.” He said back.
“Do you want me to make you a list again?” I asked him.
He shook his head. “No silly girl, I'm your boyfriend now….I should know these things.”
I grinned. “That’s true, it’s our first Christmas as a couple.”
“And your first birthday. You really made it hard to live up to after the day you gave me.” He said honestly as I started beaming.
"I was pretty good huh?” I asked him, actually proud of what I had done for him.
“You always are.” He said kissing my nose before narrowing his eyes behind us at only god knew what, but I didn't care.
"I don't know about that...but I try." I wrinkled my nose then grinned, watching him open his mouth to argue but he ordered instead. Once we both had our cups of chocolate in hand we found a table and took a seat, Jake adjusting himself next to me instead of across the table. But I couldn't complain, since I wanted him as close as possible always.
He took a sip from his cup before looking up at me, "You know, it's kind of hard going out with you."
I raised one eyebrow at him, wondering where that was coming from. "Why?" I asked simply as I leaned into him, unable to control myself and kissing his lips to suck the extra chocolate from his top lip.
He groaned, dropping his hand on my tight, "Because of things like this."
I furrowed my brows, more confused than before, "I don't understand." I said honestly, feeling lost since I had no idea if whatever he was talking about was a good thing or not.
"I can't really behave around you." He explained and made his adorable Jakey bear face, the one which included a big smile and puppy eyes.
"I hope it's not a problem." I grinned as I finally relaxed, taking a long sip from my chocolate and licking my lips. It was delicious.
He leaned his elbows against the table and turned his head in my direction, his smile turing into a grin that matched mine, "It can be." He paused, "I hope you don't mind if I'll drag you in my old room when we'll be at my parents."
"Do you want to act bad on Christmas?" I widened my eyes a little, even though it was just an act, "I knew you were a bad bear."
"It's always been my dream...it could be my present."
"We're way too loud to have s.ex with your whole family downstairs." I said with a straight face, sighing.
“I can be quiet.” Jake smirked. “You’re the screamer.” His grin widened at my cheeks which flushed a little as he took a sip of his cocoa.
“I know it Jakey.” I said, acting like I wasn’t blushing. “But you’re not quiet either.”
“I could be!”
I bit my lip and shook my head. His groans could get quite loud too. “I doubt that.”
He sighed. “Maybe we can find some reason for my family to go away for a few hours…..” He trailed off, looking busy thinking about how to accomplish that as I shook my head.
“You’re silly.” I said sipping my drink as I felt his eyes on me.
“We’re going to be there for a week baby do you really think I won’t touch you for that long?”
My face turned into a grin and I shrugged. “You never made a move on me all the other times I was in that bedroom. Maybe it’s cursed.” I was trying not to laugh at my teasing but he rolled his eyes.
“I made plenty of moves. You just ignored them. Think of all the times we were in that bed together just actually sleeping…..such a waste.”
“Not a waste!” I exclaimed. “You got cuddles!”
He laughed, leaning in to kiss my lips softly. “Yes. What every 17 year old boy wants from his super hot best friend he secretly loves. Cuddles.”
“Better than nothing Jakey Bear.” I said, kissing him back. “And you didn’t secretly love me back then. You were too busy loving every other skank at school.”
He smirked back at me. “Oh? And what you were too busy being super jealous?”
I widened my eyes a little, "I've never been jealous." I argued even though it wasn't completely true.
"No?" He raised one eyebrows, his grin still in place like everytime he was sure to be right.
"Your girls even if when all dressed up and with tons of make up on looked worse than me in my pjs." I said with a straight face.
He parted his lips like he was going to disagree, but he didn't eventually. "True."
"And I always got lots of attention anyway." I added, smirking to myself.
"I still think you were jealous." He didn't give up, sneaking one arm around my waist and pulling me closer to him.
"Blah blah." I snorted then turned my head in his direction, shooting him a huge smirk, "You were more jealous though."
A loud groan left his mouth as he shook his head, "Sure."
I leaned into him and let my smirk turn into a smile, "Whatever we were took us where we are now, isn't that all that matters?"
His smile reflected mine as he kissed me again, staring into my eyes, "I don't know if tou're being cheesy or wise now."
I kept my lips pressed against his, "A little of both baby."
“As usual.” Jake grinned and pushed my hair back. “We kind of started off backwards though.”
I rose a brow at him. “What do you mean?”
“I don’t know.” He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, a move that always made me worry. He was the one good with words, if he couldn't explain himself it was a bad sign usually.
“You’re scaring me.”
He looked at my wide eyes and laughed. “Don’t be scared baby.”
“What are you thinking about then?”
He shrugged and took a sip of his cocoa. “I dunno, I feel like now’s the part of the relationship where I'm supposed to like give you a key to my place or ask you to move in.”
I smiled, feeling more relieved. “But I already live with you.”
“It’s like we came into the relationship halfway in it already.”
I combed through my hair with my fingers and shrugged. “But is it a bad thing?” I questioned and I knew it wasn't, but part of me was grateful for not haveing to go through moving and stuff like that, it made things easier.
He shook his head. “Of course not.” He reached over and squeezed my hand. “But now I have no big gesture to prove to you that I'm falling more in love with you every second.”
I felt my cheeks flus again. “I don’t need big gestures Jakey. You already show me that every day.”
“Cheesy again.” He said, squeezing my hand tightly in his.
“You mean wise.”
“Right.”
I looked into his gorgeous eyes, then I suddenly had a thought. "I have an idea."
"What?" He asked, looking completely clueless and totally adorable too. He was really a life sized bear.
"Look." I paused, slipping my hand from his to reach for my back and fishing the key of our apartment out of it before giving it to him. "Ask me to move in with you."
He blinked and gave me an amused look, "What? You already live with me!"
I grinned wide, probably looking like a crazy silly girl which was exactly what I was, "Let's forget it."
"Are you serious?" He raised one eyebrow.
I nodded, "Dead serious."
He let out a small laugh shook his head, "You're crazy." He muttered under his breath but I just stared at him, "Okay."
"So?" I urged.
He took my hand in his again, the look on his face straight even if I could tell he was struggling to not smirk, "Violet, you know...we've been together for a while now."
"Yes Jacob." I said with emphasis, trying to not laugh.
"I think...maybe..." He trailed off and this time he let his smirk play on his lips, "Would you live with me?" He asked finally as he showed me the key.
"Oh Jakey!" I exlaimed, grabbing the key and bringing to my heart, "Yes baby."
"I'm so happy you said yes." He said seriously and leaned into me, bursting into a laugh as his mouth pressed against mine, "I love you so much Vi."
I laughed with him, keeping my lips against his, "I love you too Jake."
