Hello, just keeping up with my once a week promise here! And so, @michelle-jiafang and I have been working really hard on the collab article, since everyone agrees that i SUCK at this kind of stuff. Anyway, let's start this. Tell us below the things you agree/disagree on, and what I should add:
Burgundy/Maroon- These warm hues are totally perfect for fall. These seductive and versatile colors go well with many other colors makes you look even more sophisticated chic.
Leather- This trend just can't go away! A tough look that goes super edgy can be paired with anything that's long, slim and pleated for any occasion! You can also add this over a sweet dress for a bit of edge, or to keep warm. (;
Stripes- Stripes were the hottest trend this summer, and is now going to stay for the fall! Try not to look too intimidating from head to toe look, you can always just wear some stripes accessories.
Sheers- The interplay of sheers is totally the trend. The flimsy layer of fabric allows you to bare a hint of skin! Was seen in BCBG Max Azria runway. If you're a risk-taking fashionista, pair it with something that is burgundy and gold with some mixed patterns too!
Prints- Print on print is totally a killer! Try it out with monochromatic neutrals like Rag & Bone did! Mixing some varied shades of sapphire may sound like a clashy mess at first, but with the right accessories and head-to-toe commitment, the final product is really fun and striking.
Fur- Also something that keeps repeating. Unlike Anna Wintour, we people like to keep it faux, save the animals and all. Wear this with a belt, or something tight underneath for a chic and sophisticated look.
Caviar Nails- They first appeared last fall during the edgy Cushnie et Ochs’ runway show, and many say it will be like the next glitter nail polish. The interesting texture and cute colors make it a must have for fall!
Loose/Flowing Hair- Instead of the sleek dos, now it's acceptable to be having some wild untamed look, as long as it is still clean. Leave your hair down for once!
White- The 'No White After Labor Day' Rule just died. Many designers are adding white into their runways, and this clean, chic look is definitely one that we can wear.
Strappy Heels- This is another trend that comes up again, and we both love it, me for the complex, yet simple look it gives out, and Michelle for the casual, yet elegant feel.
Oversized- Wear a large sweater, and pair it with some casual skinny jeans, this contrast is super adorable and looks awesome. I have heard this also makes you look skinnier, so if that's another incentive...
Aaand that's it, girls. I hope this has been informative, so leave your comments below. I didn't have time to edit this, because I need to get ready for a family event, then sleep. And OMG. Harry STYLES accepted my friend request! Lol. OKAY. I sound like a fangirl.
