Hey it's Angelina here! :) LUSH Personally, is a very good store. But for beginners, it can be a bit overwhelming. Some people don't like Lush at first BECAUSE it's so overwhelming. But have no fear, my lovelies, with a little help from me you'll be on your way to comfortably finding products that work best for you at your local store and discovering the magic that is Lush! (just to let you know I'm not covering the men's products, perfumes, makeup, styling gels, dyes, or nailpolishes because then this might have been too long!)
Soaps (bar soaps): Body soap in the form of a solid bar. Almost equivalent to the shower gels and jellies.
Lush description: LUSH soaps are some of our most creative products and we're pretty confident that you won't find finer soaps anywhere else. You'll find more expensive ones; this doesn't mean that they're better. With LUSH you get what you pay for and a whole lot more too. We fill our bars with copious quantities of essential oils, fresh fruit and vegetables all in a piece of affordable luxury. Plus, they all get dirt off your body!
Shower gels: Body soap in the form of a gel. Almost equivalent to bar soaps and shower jellies.
Lush description: LUSH Shower Gels and Smoothies are spectacular; you'll smell lovely all day after a top to toe shower. We design them not only to clean your skin, but also to impact your mood. Choose one to feel comforted, revitalized or, like you've just taken a walk in freshly mown grass. We make them by hand in small batches with herb, flower and fruit infusions and essential oils and just the right amount of cleansing stuff to get the dirt off.
Shower jellies: body and face soap in the form of a solid gelatin. Almost equivalent to bar soaps and shower gels.
Lush description: One of our aims is to make getting clean less of a chore and loads more fun. Shower Jellies do exactly that. Chill them, freeze them or use them at bathroom temperature, pick up a slice and use it like flip-floppy soap, crush up a handful and squeeze it all over. Nutritious seaweed gel conditions your skin and softens your hair. Enjoy yourself. Make your showers much more interesting.
Shower smoothies: a cleansing body soap that also works as a lotion to use in the shower in solid form with a yogurt-like texture.
Lush description: They look like a body lotion, with a soft, creamy whipped texture, and yet, they’re soap. They’re luxurious shower soaps meant to be massaged and smoothed all over your body from neck to toe. Fragrant and full of gorgeous ingredients like sweet almond and coconut oils, Aloe Vera, and generous helpings of rose. You won’t be able to stop rubbing these all over your body, sudsing up in utter bliss. But alas, like we said, they are soaps and must be washed off. Don’t worry though; the lasting effects are supremely soft, conditioned skin and gorgeous, subtle scent.
Show scrubs: a solid scrub for the body.
Lush description: For those who like it smooth but not too rough, give your skin the special treatment and take it all off with our scrubby selection for the shower. If a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, surely a handful of Fair Trade sugar or Rhassoul mud will help you smooth out your rough patches and make your bumpy bits down. Shower yourself soft with our selection of solid, preservative-free gentle Shower Scrubs to work their magic and leave you with smoother, fantastic smelling skin.
Liquid shampoos: a liquid shampoo for your hair. Almost equivalent to the solid shampoos.
Lush description: Our Liquid Shampoos are truly beautiful creations; they have certainly proved their worth, brightening, cleaning and controlling hair worldwide. While we do love making solid products free from the constraints of packaging and uninhibited by preservatives, some ingredients are lovelier and more effective in their liquid form. Take the olive and coconut oils, finest stout beer and fresh fruit juices that we lovingly put into our hair care; they're better off nice and runny and make gorgeous shampoos for all of your hair needs. We make them daily and stick on a label to show you just how fresh they are.
Solid shampoos: a solid shampoo in the form of a bar for your hair.
Lush description: We've been making Solid Shampoo since our conception. Back then we couldn't afford bottles so we combined our needs with our belief that making solid products is better because it means they can be preservative-free. Even though we can afford bottles and make gorgeous Bottled Shampoos now, we still love our Solid Shampoo and you will too. After listening to customer requests we’ve finally created a Dry Shampoo too! Don’t worry, it may be in a bottle but it’s 100% post-consumer waste. These are some of the most effective cleansing and wash extending products you'll ever put on your head. We’ve spent years formulating them carefully, so choose yours with equal care to suit your needs.
Conditioners: a liquid or bar conditioner for your hair.
Lush description: We have an impressive collection of conditioners from the light to the heavy. These little beauties are very effective indeed. Choose from our lovely plant-based conditioners carefully (vegans we have one for you too!) and try to resist the temptation of conditioning just for the intoxicating scents alone. Too little won't achieve anything, too much and your hair will fall into a deep sleep. Get it just right and every day will be a good hair day.
Hair treatments: a creamy or bar treatment for your hair.
Lush description: When we put your hair in "treatment" it really is just that. We take abused, dull, out of condition scalps and tresses and put them in intense, nutrient-rich herbal concoctions to bring the top of your head back to life. Seeking help is nothing to be ashamed of; neglecting your hair is. Slather some on (following directions of course), and give your hair what it so desperately needs, a nutritious intervention.
Cleansers: a liquid, bar, cream, or clay-like cleanser for your face.
Lush description: If you're used to washing your face with bar soap perhaps you'll find our skin cleansers a bit odd, but we promise your skin will thank you. It will be so grateful, that you may see results you've only dreamed about. Why do they work so well? Supernatural simplicity; we use the finest, freshest ingredients and years of expert experience instead of empty promises, buzz words and the newest synthetic inventions.
Serums: a bar beauty serum for your face.
Lush description: There's a lot of talk these days about magical "beauty serums" and how they rejuvenate and reinvigorate the skin. We were equally bemused by them, so we decided to invent our own solid, un-preserved serum, which contains heaps of essential oils and butters. This solid wonder really works at nourishing and hydrating your skin. It can be used as either solid facial moisturizer or under a Fresh Face Mask. Simply melt the bar between your palms and smooth onto the skin.
Toners and toner tabs: a liquid or bar toner for your face.
Lush description: When should you use a toner or toner tab? They’re the brilliant product that falls in-between cleansing and moisturizing. Toners remove residual cleanser, rehydrate your epidermis and facilitate the application of your moisturizer. Our toners are made with fruit, flower and herb waters and without alcohol so they don't leave your skin feeling dry; just smoother, cleaner and nicely refreshed. Simply steam away or spritz directly on your face before applying your moisturizer for weatherproof skin all year round.
Moisturizers: a cream or liquid moisturizer for your face.
Lush description: Our moisturizers are the product of over 30 years of research, development and experience. Everyone’s skin is uniquely different and has a variety of needs depending on diet, lifestyle and climate. We believe in helping you choose a moisturizer that works wonderfully with your skin, whether that means using it once a day or once a week. So, which products should you use? Good question! We encourage you to take a read our website to find yours, or call our friendly Customer Care centre for a personal skincare consultation.
Fresh face masks: a thick cream mask made of all-natural ingredients for your face.
Lush description: Our Fresh Face Masks are handmade with the finest essential oils, fresh fruits and veggies, deep cleansing clays and nutrient rich herbs. We use active ingredients to address a host of skin needs, from dryness to breakouts to fine lines, and everything in between! When we use the term “active ingredient”, this refers to an ingredient that is biologically active. We use freshly squeezed juices, extracts, or whole fruits and vegetables in our face masks, so they need to be refrigerated at all times to prevent spoilage. Unfortunately, this means we are unable to offer our Fresh Face Masks online. Please visit your nearest LUSH shop to purchase your Fresh Face Mask. Fresh Masks means that the benefits of each ingredient are delivered directly to your skin within minutes. Your face mask should be used as a treatment, applied once or twice a week to refresh and deep cleanse the skin. Not sure which mask is for you? Stop by your local shop for your skin care consultation today.
Lip balms: a solid balm for moisturizing and replenishing lips.
Lip scrubs: a solid mixture of sugar-like beads used on your lips for exfoliating.
Lush description: We like to keep our lips perfectly soft at all times; you never know when you might need to pucker up! Our inventors have put loads of love, effort and testing (poor dears! Having to do all that smooching) into our balms by blending beautiful butters and essential oils. We’ve done away with frilly packaging and let our balms speak for themselves. Keep your kisser soft and protected from the elements (and primed for doing what it does best) with our selection of delectable lip balms and lip scrubs.
Body lotions: a solid cream lotion used on your body.
Lush description: Treat your body to a little TLC and cover yourself in one of our gorgeous, handmade Body Lotions. Our Body Lotions and Creams are made differently from most modern products and are a whole lot better for your skin. Each one is an entirely unique experience, addressing a number of different skin needs with fresh, nourishing organic ingredients and beautiful fragrances to keep your skin soft, pliable, and ready to face the world.
Body butters: a solid bar used in the shower on your body. Like a solid body lotion.
Lush description: It's hip to be square. You may think you know Body Butters until you give ours a try. Why package them in pots when they're perfect formed, (and all preservative-free) naked? Butter your fingers and toes, Buffy your bum, snap the whip and we've got you covered from the crown down. Exfoliate, smooth, and butter up for softer, supple skin.
Massage bars: a solid bar rubbed on your body to relax skin and muscles and moisturize skin. Used out of the shower.
Lush description: Massage bars are another LUSH invention and where would the world be without them? Lovely solid bars of moisturizing butters and gorgeous essential oils melt directly on warm skin instead of messing about with bottles. Plus, they're preservative-free pleasure for both your conscience and body. The hardest part of using them? Trying to convince someone that massage is a much better sport reciprocated.
Bath bombs: a solid compressed powder-like object that fizzes and deteriorates in water and gives off a color and aroma and sometimes does things for your skin. Used in baths.
Lush description: We take every opportunity to make each bath a special occasion, not a boring ritual. The best way to enjoy bath time is to make it fragrant, relaxing and slow - a reward for making it through the day. A LUSH Bath Bomb will suit the purpose (and we're not just saying that because we invented them). Welcome them into your bath water and surrender your naked body into their fragrant clutches.
Bubble bars: a solid bar crumbled under running water or moved rapidly through water to create bubbles, give off a color and aroma, and sometimes do things for your skin. Some are reusable but some aren't. Used in baths.
Lush description: At LUSH we don't just take baths; we appreciate them. We relish them, revel in them and do everything we can to make them enjoyable. We like to fragrance them with essential oils to scent our bodies and put us in a better mood, illuminate them with candlelight and sometimes, even share them. Crumble one of these under the running bath water for a superbly bubbly and stunningly fragrant, luxuriously inviting bath.
Bath melts: a solid object that melts away in water, gives off a color and aroma, and moisturizes skin. Used in baths.
Lush description: When it comes to luxury at bath time, we don't hold back. Beautiful things, our Bath Melts. We use sinful amounts of natural butters to moisturize and soften your skin, loads of gorgeous essential oils, and then we add whatever it takes to give you an experience to make it well worth spending at least 20 minutes in the bath. Have one when you know you've earned yourself a real treat.

Soaps, shower gels, shower jellies, shower smoothies, body lotions, body butters, liquid shampoos, solid shampoos, conditioners, hair treatments, cleansers, toners and toner tabs, moisturizers, fresh face masks, lip balms and lip scrubs, & massage bars: Think about whatever part of your body you are shopping for (body, face, or hair) What is wrong there? What would you like for that part of your body? Now explore the Lush website http://lush.com in the section you are looking in. Look at all (or almost all, which ever one catches your eye) products in that category. Write down the ones you like and read the descriptions. When you go into the Lush store, ask someone who works there about what you're looking for and what the products you like actually do. They are SUPER nice there and will majorly help you out, so don't be shy. As a first-time shopper, always get the smallest size of something in case you're not fond of it. And don't forget to ask for samples! Some things may need to be ordered online.
Shower scrubs & serums: since there's only one shower scrub and one toner, there's really no trouble in finding one you like. If you want a shower scrub or serum, then it's an easy find and buy for you. Read about these products on the Lush website http://lush.com and figure out if you need one. Then head over to your nearest Lush and ask someone who works there about that product. The people that work at Lush are extremely nice and will help you with anything, so don't be shy. And remember you can always ask for samples.
Bath bombs, bubble bars, & bath melts: it's all in the name for these! Well the name and the look. Head on over to the Lush website http://lush.com and check out the selection of these items. Their names and bright colors will draw you in. You can then read about them and write down the names of ones that appeal to you. At the Lush store, make sure you like the smell of the item. The scent soaps, cleansers, moisturizers, etc. don't matter as much because you're purchasing them for what they're meant to do. You buy bath bombs, bubble bars, and bath melts for their colors and scents, so make sure you find a smell you like best.
