Southern Cali girl Kendall Kay's classic rocker style brings us back to the the subtly seductive decade of the 80s – where smoky eyes, plum lipsticks, vintage tees, Rolling Stone and plenty of black reigned the street style scene. Her outfits have not only inspired the mod goth in all of us, but have caught the eye of scouting agency Model Launcher. Their latest project – a new cosmetics line – reflects the essence and classic beauty of the young blogger. Scoring this exclusive has allowed Kendall to travel to the East Coast for the first time, to one of Miami's premiere destinations (the South Beach hotel) to shoot their latest beauty campaign. Kendall’s parents were the first to inspire her taste in fashion, as well as her eventual notoriety on Lookbook.nu, leading her to start It’s Kendall Kay and collaborate with the likes of H&M, Romwe, Dolls Kill, Wildfox and Wasteland. With a head start in the fashion industry (at 20 years, she’s the youngest visual merchandiser employed at Forever 21), she has prompt plans to move to Los Angeles and make her dreams a reality. Shooting for Model Launcher in Miami was a major step in just that direction and we’re stoked to have her share her unforgettable experience with us, including a video interview and images from the shoot, plus her best looks for fall. "I was invited to stay at the Standard Hotel & Spa nearby their studio for a couple of days and enjoy the East Coast culture. On the day of the photo shoot I experienced so much fun and excitement. Being able to work with such a talented team of people and do a full production shoot was unbelievable. As you all know I have a love for makeup and so shooting for Model Launcher’s cosmetics line was something that I truly felt inspired to participate in. It was so great to work with such professional human beings."
