Roheline is a dynamic green fragrance: tinge of tomato leaf mixed with the depth of fern. Quintessential summer incense. Burning this aromatic composition serves to bring good luck. Blackbird Incense Pyres serve to provide a pleasant and unique aroma to any space. Our cones are black, have a very high concentration of fragrance, burn evenly and consistently, and produce less smoke and more scent. All scents are original and are designed based on perfume concepts, resulting in exceptional fragrances not often found in incense. Each pyre is scented and packaged by hand, by Blackbird, in Ballard, WA. The lid is intended to be turned over and placed on a surface as the base on which to burn the pyre. This way, you will not spill the ash. Each package contains twenty scented pyres, and each scented pyre, when burnt, will fragrance a small-to-medium sized space for several hours. A pyre is a structure used for cremating bodies in funeral rites. In many religions, death is seen as the time when the individual soul rejoins the universal soul, and the pyre is a vessel to aid in this process. We chose to name our incense cones pyres not intending to convey the literal meaning of the term, but to evoke a connection to the spiritual and an exit from the material. We hope that burning one of our scented pyres will aid in this process. BURNING INSTRUCTIONS: The incense cone must be hot enough when lighting to sustain its burn. Let the flame burn on the tip of the cone for about ten to fifteen seconds before blowing it out. You can start to blow it out and see if beneath the flame the tip of the cone burns red like a hot coal. If it does, you may blow the flame out and let the incense burn.
