I have been doing some research on the plight of Christians in Ancient Rome and I dedicate this set to the memory of ALL the believers who have been persecuted and/or killed for the sake of the Gospel.
Spreading the Word of God is not easy, but it is the task of a true disciple. I think on how my life would be if I was in an environment which is brutally hostile to the 'Good News'- and what would be my attitude if being a Christian meant death...
In a way, we still live in "Ancient Rome/Babylon", for the Spirit behind this world system is driven against Truth and God Himself.
It's not about being religious, for it was the religious leaders that Jesus rebuked when He was trying to seek and save the loss to establish His Kingdom; it's about being Kingdom-minded. Jesus isn't a religious leader, He is Humanity's SAVIOR. He didn’t come here to establish a "religion"; He came to establish His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, and redeem us to be with Him for eternity.
I pray that this year 2010 be a year of boldness and courage for Christians all across the globe! You are not alone, God is with You until the end of the world! The day of the Lord is near, the signs are everywhere... Go. Be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove. Tell others of His Love. Tell them of His peace. Tell them of His grace and mercy. He will give you the words to speak. Go. Start today. The war on the souls of men is raging. Be a soul winner this year! He has given us the Victory! Who the Son sets free is free indeed!! Thank you Jesus. Thank you Lord. God bless you all!
