SATURDAY, 8TH: This is your first day in Cape Town where you are allowed to go see the boys, who are staying in a hotel on the other side of town. Most of you will be going to the beach with your boys, so be sure to check out the local boutiques for a new bikini. If you're not hanging out with your crush, check out the beautiful and famous Table Mountain.
Today was great. Zac surprised me at the airport yesterday and told me he would come along. I was ecstatic! We already went kite-surfing and drank some beer (it's legal here!) I had mostly hung out with my girls, Essie and Yulia, and sometimes Chrysa.
I know, I know what you're thinking. Chrysa? Yup, it's true. We were on good terms now. It was all because the Sofia and Willa thing was so crazy. I realized that one fight was enough and quite honestly, I was tired of worrying what her comebacks were going to be and what pranks she'll plan for me. It's exhausting. Now, I'm worry-free!
I kind of wish things would stay like this. Everyone was pretty much my friends, and Willa was even giving up her old ways. It was the surprise of the century--I still can't even process that fact that her rumor-spreading days are over.
Anyway, Zac and I were lounging on the beach. The weather was a beautiful 28℃ and the water was unusually warm. Amazing. I stood up from my towel and joined Zac who was floating around in the ocean. I cupped my hands and threw a handful of water at his back. His torso contorted as he came at me. I laughed as he picked me up like a baby and flung me across the water just as a wave died down. I made a huge splash and my whole face got drenched. I hate when makeup runs, but Zac was worth it.
"That's what you get!" he swam over to me. We were now treading water far out from the shore. I couldn't even touch the ground if I wanted to.
"Karma's a b*tch."
He flashed an adorable smile and kissed me. Our lips were all salty, but I didn't mind. I pushed aside his hair as he continued to make out with me.
Suddenly, a frisbee was thrown our way. It landed just short of hitting me and splashed us.
"Hey!" I yelled. I looked more clearly and found out who the culprit was: Essie.
"Get a room, you two!" she shouted back, "by the way, our food is ready!"
I looked back at Zac. He was blushing bright red. I loved when he got embarrassing, it was the cutest thing in the world. We swam back to shore, dripping wet.
Chrysa said, "Summer, didn't know ya like to go all in!"
"Well, someone here threw me in!" I gave him a look.
"You deserved it!" he argued. I nodded my head. Boys.
"Well, dig in!" Essie scooped up a big spoonful of cheese with a tortilla chip. A big string of cheese dangled from her chin. I let out a laugh. "What?!"
"You got a little something right there," I pointed. By then, everyone noticed and bursted out laughing.
This vacation was just the thing I needed.
