113A Breakdown of the "Manic Pixie Dream Girl" Wardrobe
After watching (500) Days of Summer, New Girl, Ruby Sparks, etc. I feel like I have sort of figured out the wardrobe of the "Manic Pixie Dream Girl" trope, "that bubbly, shallow cinematic creature that exists solely in the fevered imaginations of sensitive writer-directors to teach broodingly soulful young men to embrace life and its infinite mysteries and adventures" as defined by the blogger who coined the term.
How you wish to interpret this type of character or whether you would type some people in movies/TV/literature as such is up to you, but one thing we can more or less all agree on is that they have great style, especially for spring.
