The Brit Pack: Talented British Musicians
#3: Sam Bradley

Sam Bradley is a British/Canadian singer-songwriter from London, UK but moved to Canada six years ago with his family.
Sam dropped out of school when he was 16 as he was not motivated by the educational system. He began working at ‘rubbish’ jobs before turning to music when his Canadian mum (singer/songwriter) brought him a guitar.
He began recording music on his computer and going to opening mic nights at the early stages of his music career. Once he turned 18, his love for music became more significant in his life. He was inspired by close friend and musician Marcus Foster at work. Having some work experience by bring part of Lindsay’s band, he had put more vigour in songwriting. His music genre is a mix of folk and rock, but it creates a feeling of warmth. However in 2008, things began to look up for Sam. He was childhood friends with Robert Pattinson, and when the Twilight soundtrack came, his song ‘Too Far Gone’ was featured in the dinner scene. This song was actually co-written with Rob, using his version titled ‘Never Think.’ With the popularity of the Twilight hype, the soundtrack reached no.1 in the Billboard charts. This has helped established his career.
Sam took on a tour in the US and performed with his British musician friends Bobby Long and Marcus Foster which expanded his fan base even more. Fans praised his talent and sensitivity in his lyrics.

I haven’t abandoned British Musicians just yet! I think it’s gonna take me longer than expected. My last one was 2 months ago :/ I’m so slow :(
I have been dying to do a Sam Bradley set for ages! I absolutely love him, his voice. His voice is so beautiful and soulful! He’s definitely a talented musician, I love the fact he writes his own lyrics and they’re so meaningful. When he sings, it’s like he opens his heart and most important he befriends the audience.
Personally I prefer his song ‘Too Far Gone’ rather than Robert Pattinson’s ‘Never Think’ version. Sam’s voice is more beautiful and moving, but with Rob’s...well I don’t even understand what he’s saying! I kinda think he’s drunk whilst singing that song.
I’ve been having a debate with myself, should I do a Robert Pattinson British Musician set? I’m not sure because he only recorded 2 songs for the Twilight soundtrack, so this doesn’t really make him much of a musician. I don’t think he can sing but that’s just my personal opinion. What do you think?

I’ve got a new post:
