Brittany balanced the to-go container of Starbucks as she clacked up the stairs to the offices on the fourth floor. She put the iced mocha frapp on the reception desk; she set the steaming low fat soy latte on Keira's desk and made sure there was a coaster underneath. She quickly balanced the last three cups in her hand and headed into the main office area. Liz and El were waiting for her.
"It's about time," Liz said sliding off of El's desk and pushing a stray brown hair behind her ear, "I am in a desire need of caffeine." She took two cups from Brittany, "Thanks, Brit." She handed one cup to El and took a sip from the one left in her hands.
"Yeah, Brittany," El said after poking her finger in the whip cream on the top of her frappuccino and licking it quickly, "you're, like, the best intern we've eh-ver had. Um, we have a conference meeting in thirty minutes, so be there and be ready to take notes."
"That's it," Liz said leaving the room and heading to her office next door, "see ya in thirty."
Brittany walked into the kitchen and threw the soggy carton in the trash. She grabbed a bagel off the table of assorted breakfast pastries and smothered it in cream cheese. She took a bite and headed to her desk between Liz's and El's offices. She took her Blackberry Storm and scrolled through the calendar. She was jammed packed for this week. She had seven conferences, three press conferences, and two run thrus.
