July 19th; Ingrid Barnes;
I laid in the warm bath water, letting my body relax. I decided to let Barrett sleep in a little bit longer before waking him up , and plus i felt like having a bit of me time before going off to the first test, they always made me nervous.
"You didn't wake me up." Barrett stated sleepy heavy in his voice, wiping the sleep from his eyes and perching himself on the edge of the tub.
Well there went my relaxing me time. Barrett didn't understand personal space, but then again i didn't lock the door so i guess it was my fault.
"I wanted to let you sleep a little longer." I said with a smile, "Can you grab me a towel?" I asked while sitting up in the tub, reaching over to put the drain down.
"I don't know," He said with a smirk forming on his face, "I kind of like the view i'm getting right now." He added cheekily.
"I'm sure you do." I said dryly, rolling my eyes, "But could you please get me a towel it's a bit chilly." I added while wrapping my arms around myself. I don't think i would ever get use to this weather. I'd rather take the Australian heat over this cold any day.
"You know if you would of woken me up we could of taken a bath together." Barrett stated matter of factly while handing me a towel, a suggestive grin on his face.
"I don't think both of us would of fit in here." I stated jokingly while wrapping the towel around my body, it instantly warming me up.
"Is that a fat joke?!" Barrett gasped, feigning shock, "Because that would just be very rude and hurt my feelings." He stated matter of factly, holding out his hand to help me out of the bathtub.
"Thank you." I smiled up at him while stepping out of the bath, " Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't." I shrugged while walking out into the bedroom, Barrett right on my heels.
"What are you doing?" Barrett asked, watching me with a raised eyebrow as i picked out clothes from the wardrobe. Well it looks like he got over that fat joke quick.
"I'm getting dressed." I said in a obvious 'duh' tone of voice, "What does it look like i'm doing?" I asked rhetorically while slipping on a pair of underwear.
"I can see that." He said, wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my neck, "But why? We've still go some time before we have to leave, we can have a bit of fun." He suggested while trailing kisses from my neck to my shoulder.
"Oh, can we now?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes." He said, moving me towards the bed, "I think we deserve a bit of fun." He added with a smirk.
"I guess we do." I said with a dramatic sigh, "If we must." I added jokingly with a grin, dropping my towel, letting it pool around my feet.
"We must." Barrett stated, pushing me softly back onto the bed, "We definitely must."
I sat in the stands with the other wives and girlfriends, no one seemed to figure out we were the Australian WAGs which was something i'd hope would happen. I watched as Aaron lost the toss which made Adele make a joke. I drifted in and out of the conversation that was happening around me, making sure to keep my eyes focused on Barrett.
"What are you staring at so intensely?" Fleur asked with a smile.
She was one of the new girlfriends, and i didn't know how all that well nor did i care too. I didn't open up much to the new girlfriends. Adele said it was one of my downfalls. I was a people person but terrible when it came to meeting new people.
"My husband." I said in my best 'duh' tone of voice, not bothering to look at her. I wasn't purposely trying to be rude or cold, i just wanted to keep my eyes on Barrett.
"You don't like the new girls?" She asked, "Do you?"
Her questioned caught me off guard, i never had someone ask me that so bluntly.
"Um," I stuttered. I wasn't really sure how to answer that question. I didn't dislike the new girls, i was just cautious about them. I didn't know their full intentions.
"It's okay." Fleur laughed, "I understand but i hope we can be friends." She added with a smile before shushing everyone else, "The first is about to be bowled."
Let the game begin.
