Hans and Annaliese met in college. They fell deeply in love and got married within a year of knowing each other. The two settle down in Upper Grand Cove and Annaliese had all five children. Shortly after, on a visit to New York, she was killed. Her death remains a mystery, and after it Hans and the kids moved to the city where Hans descended into a depression. He became an alcoholic and disappeared for four years, during which Harrison dropped out of school to care for his family. Hans returned and went through extensive rehab. Now sober, he and the family moved back to UGC where they now live. All of the siblings are very close and protective of each other. Hans is trying his best to be a good father to them, but is still unstable.

"Kamryn is the kind of girl who's friend with everyone. Since she has four older brothers, she plays all sports but her favorites are basketball and volleyball. She's a literature nerd from modern to contemporary, and loves music." — s-n-t
