Chapter 2: Interesting
I stared at Delilah. I still wondered why she still came here if she was already "fixed". I sat on my lumpy, hard, uncomfortable, bed. I played with my iPod and a lady stepped through the door. She suddenly looked at Delilah.
"Hi, Delilah. Welcome back!" The lady said, smiling.
"Hey, Amber." Delilah said, making the peace sign. Then, Delilah looked at me. "Amy, this is Amber. Cabin 6's counselor."
"Amy, you cannot use technological items at Camp Head in the Clouds." Amber said, walking towards my bed and taking my iPod.
"Well, Kevin-" Amber cut me off.
"Mr. Madoxx." Amber corrected and I rolled my eyes.
"Mr. Madoxx didn't write that on the rules and schedule paper." I said, taking back my iPod.
"Well, I must go to tell Mr. Madoxx about that. But, now you know that you can't use electronics." Amber said, walking away.
"Why didn't you tell me that?" I asked Delilah, slightly angrily.
"You never asked." Delilah answered, putting down her book, which was hiding her iPod.
"Hey! Amber said-" I yelled, pointing at her and frowning, confused. She got up and covered my mouth.
"If you tell, you'll wake up in Cuba." She threatened, before taking her hand off my mouth. "Besides, you can only use it when no one's watching. Kevin has a Wi-Fi server in his cabin that only he and the counselors know about. I know because I snuck in once, in my first year here."
"Why?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"Cause I wanted some cold air. This cabin's air conditioner was broken and I was literally melting." Delilah answered.
The next day, Delilah shook me until I woke up. It was 9:15 AM and I was used to waking up at noon every day. So, that was waking up to find the sun in my eyes, coming through the window, instead of it being directly over my house.
"Breakfast time, Amy." Delilah said, as I still lay in my bed, not wanting to wake up.
