Tuesday, June 29: Boys vs. Girls soccer game. Sorry CITs, this one is campers only. But be sure to cheer on your campers from the sidelines. Or take advantage of the free time to discreetly slip away with a.. erm, /friend/.
(sorry about the weird grammar and words, i made the poly-bot cry so i had to fix a few things)
sneaking off would be tough today, with george on my butt about being late all the time, i had to be careful or id be sent home. ordinarily, this would sound pretty good to me, but there are three things keeping me here: 1. if i got sent home my father would hate me. 2. i love the people ive met here and im in no rush to leave them. and 3. derek and i WILL get to know each other better, and as far as i can see, he's not here at this lame soccer game, which means he's on the trail either doing one of two things or even both: drinking the 40 he stole from my cabin, or smoking the weed he stole from my cabin. george was cheering on the campers, still focused on my every move, making sure i didnt sneak away, jerk. until he made one fatal move, he went to the bathroom. CHECK AND MATE M0F0. i immediately ran to my cabin, sprayed myself with body mist, redid my eyeliner and changed out of the "go campers" bright yellow baggy tee and sprinted up the hiking trail. it didnt take long for me to smell the weed, he owes me 50 bucks now. i turned down smokers path, a CIT made path that thankfully the counselors or kids dont know about. i made my way down to the big rock with the cut out and there he was, surrounded by a haze of smoke, my 40 in one hand, my weed in his other. as soon as he saw me he smirked.
"i figured if i stole the two things that are most important to you, id get to at least talk to you for half a second or two." he said. i narrowed my eyes and marched over to him. i hoisted myself onto the rock, took the 40 and the joint out of his hands, placed the joint in my mouth, and the 40 snugly next to my hip.
"steal my sh1t again and see what happens." i said taking the joint from my mouth.
"oh yeah? like what?" derek challenged.
"i dunno, you'll have to wait and see." i replied smirking.
"arent you supposed to be at the soccer game? youre on georgies bad side right now."
"its not my fault some jacka$$ stole the only sh1t that keeps me here!" i said grinning. its amazing just how comfortable i can be in front of him. being yourself in front of someone knew is like finding a unicorn.
"can i ask you something?" he said.
"you just did, but sure." i replied smiling.
"i know we barely know each other, but would you want to go on a date?" how classy, most guy would just grab me and shove their tongues down my throat. do we have a gentlemen here?
"yes, absolutely." derek just smiled. and then we just sat there for a while and watched the day go by. it wasnt an awkward silence, but a comfortable one, we didnt have to say anything because nothing needed to be said. it was just, perfect, and by the time the sun set i was covered in bug bites and i really had to pee and my hair was frizzy, my makeup melted slighty, i probably smelled like butt, and he still called me beautiful when he left me at my cabin. winner winner chicken dinner.
