Contests

What are Polyvore contests?

Polyvore contests challenge the Polyvore community to create sets with specific themes. Contest winners will get to brag by showing off the trophies on their profile page. Some contests may even have prizes for the winners.

Polyvore runs a few official contests on a regular basis, but members can also run contests within groups.

How do I enter a contest?

You can browse contests to find open contests to enter.

On the contest page, you will see a form for submitting your entry. You can select and enter one of your existing sets into the contest. If you don't have a suitable set ready, first use the Polyvore editor to create one, then return to the contest page to select and enter your set.

Once the contest has completed, you can return to find out about the outcome. You will also be notified by a Polyvore message if any of your entries have won in a contest.

How do I vote for a contest?

Some contests are open for public voting, which means the Polyvore community gets to pick the winners. But before you start casting you vote, please note the following:

  • Only members who have created at least three polyvore sets are eligible to vote.
  • Please do not use fake accounts to vote. It ruins the fun for everyone and you risk being banned from Polyvore.

To vote for a contest, go the contest page after it has completed. If the contest is open for public voting you will see the voting slots on the page. To vote for an entry simply drag it into one of the voting slots. To change a vote just drag another entry into the same slot. Your selections will be saved automatically.

I won a contest. Where's my trophy icon?

You'll only get a trophy icon on your profile page if at least 50 different users entered the contest, so invite your friends!

I judged a contest but the winners are different than I selected?

If there are multiple moderators in your group and you all judged the contest separately, the votes will be combined to determine winners.

Can I use a set as part of my contest description?

Yes, just click the 'Embed on your blog' link on the set page and copy & paste the blog code into the contest details field.
