“Andy! Hurry up! We’re gonna be late.”
 
Andy was shuffling through his shirts and loudly belting out The Cure’s “just like heaven.” We were about to be late for meeting Jackie, Seth, Amy Poehler, Will Arnett and Jimmy Fallon for drinks.
 
"Why won't you ever know that I'm in love with you? That I'm in love with you!!!" Andy sang at me, walking out of the bedroom. “And we’re not going to be late!” He sang with the melody.
 
I laughed as he hurriedly tucked his shirt in and hummed to the song. We linked arms, locked our door and hailed a cab to the bar.

We got there, and yes, late. We spotted everyone at a table in the corner.
 
I looked up at Andy and smiled and shook my head.
 
“Oh, Ard.” Andy kissed my forehead and put his arm around my waist. We walked towards everyone. They were laughing, of course. Andy gave Jimmy a high-five and we sat down next to Jackie and Seth.
 
“Jimmy! I just watched you last night. Hilarious, as usual.” I said.
 
“Yeah, she pretty much falls asleep with you, every night man.” Andy replied.
 
I smacked him in the chest and Jimmy laughed.
 
“You know, Andy, a lot of gorgeous women fall asleep with me. Every weeknight. 12:30 baby.”
 
“You’re sick, Jimmy! Sick!” Amy yelled.
 
Jackie and I asked about how Joseph Gordon-Levitt was doing this week. I was so excited to meet him.
 
“He’s a pretty cool guy.” Seth said.
 
“Arden’s got the hots for him. I can tell.” Will said, laughing.
 
I blushed and rubbed Andy’s shoulder and looked up at him and smiled. Andy stuck his tongue out at me and I laughed.
 
“So when is the wedding finally gonna be?!” Jackie asked, putting her hand on my shoulder.
 
“We’re thinking April or late March. Arden wants a spring wedding.” Andy said, kissing my forehead.
 
“Awwww!” Amy said from across the table.
 
“Yeah, but it’s not gonna happen if you keep singing The Cure!” I said to Andy.
 
“Andy! The Cure? Seriously?!” Seth said.
 
“Come on, they’re classic!” Andy yelled back.
 
We all laughed. Jokes were cracked the entire time. Everyone in the bar was either looking at us in annoyance at how loud we were, or because there were a bunch of celebrities. I can never tell.

2. i sew a lot. right now i am sewing a new dress – it’s a dark turquoise bandage dress. last week i sewed a royal blue sweater/jacket. i don’t want to go into fashion or anything, i just like sewing.

Jorma and Akiva laughed. “Aw, you two are just the bees knees.” Jorma said.
 
“You know you guys are just jealous. Hey Arden, Libby’s coming, right?” Andy asked.
 
“Yes. She should be here any minute. I just got a text from her.”
 
“Is Libby the one that totally kicked your ass the last time we had a rap off Jorm?” Akiva said, laughing.
 
Jorma blushed and mock laughed at Akiva. “Ha ha haaaa. I’ve been practicing, Kiv.”
 
Someone knocked on the door. I ran to answer it.
 
“Libs!” We hugged and she walked in to the apartment.
 
“Hey Libby!” the guys said in unison.
 
“Hey everyone! Who’s ready to be completely dominated in this rap-off?!” she said.
 
I laughed and put my arm around Andy’s waist. The five of us walked into the living room and hooked up a boom box with beat box sounds.
 
Kiv and Jorma rapped off first, Jorma won.
Then Andy and I were pitted against eachother. Andy started bobbing his head back and forth and I couldn’t stop laughing.
 
Andy started rapping, “Yo, yo, I don't need a stage name to represent.
My name is Andy and I'm here to present.
A groove laid down that's totally cruisin'
Leaving Arden a complete bruisin!”
 
Libby, Akiva and Jorma all simultaneously said, "Ooh Wee, T-Shane!"
 
I rapped - “You got no name cuz you got no steez
Try to step to me, I say "ninja, please"
Might have to exterminate you like our hitlady Bees
At the end of my jam, you'll be on your knees!”
 
Andy shook his head and smiled at me. We all laughed.
 
Later, it was back to Libby and Jorma for the championship and Libby won, yet again! Jorma hung his head in shame but hugged Libby like a good sport.
 
Andy cranked up Lady GaGa’s “Lovegame” to start off the dance party. It was hilarious. Five people dancing around and falling over each other, laughing hysterically. It must have looked funny for the people who lived in the apartment across the busy city street from us.
 
After dancing, we all had a few drinks and pizza. We said our goodbyes to everyone as they left. As Andy closed the door, I could hear Libby and Jorma talking about who was going to win next time.
 
I laughed and locked the door, pulling Andy by the collar to the living room. I turned on Ra Ra Riot and we held each other and kind of semi-danced in one spot. I rested my head on his chest and closed my eyes. He exhaled. I knew he was tired.
 
“Ready to go to sleep?” I said, looking up at him.
 
“I wish I was ready for stuff before sleep…” He said, grinning. “but I’m ready to pass out. The rap off made me tired, I must say. And you should tell Marc you’re leaving him to start a professional rap career.” He laughed.
 
“Oh my God, you’re such a suck up, Andy!” I kissed him and we both went into our bedroom and fell asleep.

on our last night out in amsterdam, jackie, seth, andy and i all went to meet up with seth's old comedy group, boom chicago. it was hilarious! seth did some improv and towards the end they let andy join in. we all had drinks and laughed.
 
early the next morning, we took a flight out of amsterdam into jfk. we were all pretty jetlagged and said our goodbyes at the airport.
 
andy and i got home and he laid down on the couch and sighed out of tiredness.
 
"babe, come over here." andy yawned and patted the spot on the couch in front of him.
 
i laid down next to him and he put his arm around my waist. i felt so warm and protected. he kissed my neck.
 
"oh arden. i love you."
 
"i love you too. more than you know."
 
he kissed my neck again and after a few minutes, started breathing heavily and fell asleep.
 
i finally passed out a few minutes later.
