I wanted to share this website with all of you: http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/index/ . This is a charity group organized by the Samaritan's Purse. They ask of anyone who would like to participate to fill up a shoebox with various goodies and treats (like small toys, crayons, etc.) for a needy child, including a few personal items - such as a bar of soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. (Anything that can fit into the box.) There's a more detailed list on the website.
 
After the box is filled and wrapped, you go onto the website (above) and print out the label of your choice: boy or girl and then you can pick the age group you'd like your box to go to. This year, if you pay the $7 fee online, they give you a tracking number, so you can see where your box of treats will go! (I'm thrilled to be able to track it this year!) Once your box is ready to go, you can type in your zipcode onto the site and it will list various locations where you can drop it off.
 
This is my 2nd year in a row doing this and it's so much fun finding cute little treats to fill up the box. Knowing that it's going to put a smile on the face of a child is such a gift! Giving of yourself - that's what the holidays are all about! Thank you for reading. ♥

While I was completing finishing touches on this set, I was listening to clips of Snow Patrol's latest cd that came out today on iTunes. The last clip I listened to was "Dark Roman Wine" and I thought it fit this perfectly! It's a beautiful song! Now, I'm off to go buy it, so I can add it to my music collection. : ]
