“morning, birthday girl.” James wrapped his hands around my waist and kissed my head. I put the coffee cup down and turned to face him.
“good morning.” I giggled, watching him reach into his pocket of his sweatpants.
“got you something.” It was a small black box wrapped in yellow ribbon.
“aww.” I unwrapped it quickly, looking at the tiny yellow car. I laughed and looked up at James who smiled from ear to ear. “it’s so cute!”
“it’s a yellow Audi, just what you wanted, right?”
We both laughed. “yes! It is! I cant believe you remembered. I told you about that when we first met, damn.”
He pointed to the silver circles of the Audi logo. “look at that.”
I got on the tip of my toes and reached for a kiss.
“you look so cute, where you off to?” he asked me, looking at my yellow bubble skirt.
“class, unfortunately.” I frowned.
“could you grab me some milk from the fridge?” he asked me.
“Milk?”
He nodded, “yeah, please.” He never drinks milk before having his usual cup of coffee, I thought.
i noticed a huge bouquet of yellow roses right in the middle of the fridge.
“AHHH!” I exclaimed, causing him to laugh.
“why in the fridge?” I held the cold, clear vase and set it on the counter next to him.
He shrugged with a small smirk. “I’m not good at hiding things.”
I read the small card attached to it. ‘it only gets better from here,’ It read.
“thank you.” I hugged him tightly. “pancakes?”
“sure.” He nodded. “want some help?”
“you can cut the fruit up, there are strawberries in there.” I pointed to the fridge.
“I ate them last night cause I had to make room for the flowers.” He said, with the cutest guilty face.
“we have blueberries in the bottom drawer, it’s ok.” I replied.
his face lit up. “I’d love to spend the rest of my life with you.” He said, all of a sudden.
“just because I’m in a mini skirt…”
