    Aurelie Dellasanta Chinese Purse
This accessory is made with a recycled purse's clasp in white metal. I added a rope on it so it is possible to wear it as a handbag. I sewed on the Chinese banknotes decorative ribbons which remind the luxury Chinese ornaments. Size: W12 × H7 × L4 cm. My work is about money and its value in our occidental society. I’m asking myself about the future of a world where the economy, the consumption’ society and the profit never stop to increase to the detriment of the essential nature of human being. A trip to India and Asia made me more sensitive to our society the self-satisfaction, comfort, and tasteless luxury which enters everywhere in our daily way of life. I use coins and notes to create jewels, purses, cuffs, which denounce the pretentious, arrogant and frivolous character of the fineries and other fashionable accessories worn by the mass of conventional people.

    Aurelie Dellasanta Mouth purse
This purse called 'Mouth' refers to people's greediness for money. I created red lips in velvet and attached to it a brass coat of mail found on an old purse. The mouth can be opened or closed with the zip fastener. A long brass chain partially oxidised in black allow to wears the purse as a hand bag or can be removed. Size: W6,5 ×H 7 × L3,5 cm.
