This is a very very rare and early Betsey Johnson piece from her 80s "punk" label. It really should be in a museum as it is such an amazing representation of the eighties and a fabulous example of her work during this time period. It is cut from a t-shirt weight, cotton stretch jersey so really will hug and fit you through the torso. The sleeves are stupendously dramatic with a huge puff shoulder and skinny fit through to the wrist. The low drop waist gets an equally dramatic treatment with another exaggerated fullness that mirrors the shoulder built in at each hip. Each ankle gets super skinny so can be worn up on the calf like I have styled it to really take advantage of the volume above, or wear them low down at the ankle. It is simplicity itself and yet extremely dramatic when on. You will not see this versions of her label often and to find such an extraordinary design is marvelous! A very rare, early, show stopping piece! Excellent condition. The jumpsuit is unlined and slips on to wear. The fabric has stretch - the measurements given are what is a comfortable range when lying flat.
