English Classics Furniture Low Bookcase with Drawers
Here we have a very versatile and beautiful low bookcase with drawers that has lots of little details that make it special. It has the ability to function in any room of the house for traditional book storage, media storage, or decorative needs. This piece is brand new and was recently crafted in England. It was made from a fine selection of mahogany wood which has been enhanced around the top and drawer fronts with satinwood string inlay and a mahogany cross band. These help define the edges and create a cleaner, more elegant look for the bookshelf. The three shelves all have a depth of 10.25″ and are adjustable to a number of heights using a brass pin and hole system. A plinth base was used to finish the bottom and ensure stability. You will notice a number of fine details that come together to show what a quality piece of furniture this low bookshelf is. The vertical columns that separate the shelves have been fluted. Each shelf has a rounded detail in the center of it that gives a very finished look to the shelves themselves. Each drawer sports brass swan neck pulls and has been meticulously crafted with dovetailed joints. They slide smoothly in and out on their wooden runners. Overall this is a very useful piece. Great for the office to add some storage and display or in a living room under a wall mounted TV. This low bookcase with drawers will keep your home decorated for many years to come!

English Classics Furniture Burl Elm Revolving Bookcase with Fan Inlay
The first thing that I notice about this hand crafted antique style elm revolving bookcase is the lovely fan inlay to the top. Combined with the marvelous elm wood and hand finish this revolving bookcase will make an attractive addition to any home or office for many years to come. A fine burled elm is used on the top of this revolving bookcase. The furniture maker has treated the wood to an elaborate hand finishing process leaving a gorgeous finish that looks like it has been around for many, many years. The corners of the top are canted (cut) so there are no sharp edges to catch on when the bookcase is turned or when you pass by it. The canted corners also give the revolving bookcase a more elegant feel than a simple square top would. The fan inlay is a traditional Georgian satinwood fan inlay that gives the bookcase a more traditional and elegant feel. Details like these are what make this piece a high quality, heirloom piece. This revolving bookcase was recently hand crafted in England by a third generation furniture maker. His care and attention to detail have made this a very sturdy piece of furniture. The plinth base sits firmly on the floor while everything above it rotates easily. A thick center column holds the weight of the shelves and decorative slats run up the left side of each of the four bookcase sides. Each slat is held firmly with three antiqued brass brads. This revolving bookcase is made to hold heavy books and can even support a heavy lamp as well. Each of the shelf areas on the bookcase (eight in total) measure 9.25″ wide x 6.5″ deep. The top shelves are 13.5″ tall and the bottoms are 12.5″ tall.

English Classics Furniture Flame Mahogany Bookcase with Doors
This flame mahogany bookcase with doors was recently hand-crafted in England by a third-generation cabinetmaker. Using the choicest materials and the most refined techniques, he produced an heirloom quality piece that would make an excellent addition to any home or office furniture collection. This beautiful mahogany bookcase owes its design and construction to a long tradition of English furniture making. Beginning with the wood itself, satinwood inlays adorn the face to produce a lovely contrast with the mahogany. Satinwood and mahogany are a classic pairing favored in Georgian period furniture and in succeeding periods. The upper five shelves are all fully adjustable with alligator bracket supports, which were also a favorite bookshelf design element in the Georgian and Victorian periods. Finally, the flame mahogany doors lock with an accompanying skeleton key; even the lock itself was fashioned by an English forger just as its antique predecessors were many years ago. Few wood furniture pieces display such an amazing selection as this mahogany bookcase with doors does. The mahogany and satinwood have been treated to an elaborate finishing process that included seven stages, the last being a fine coat of hand-rubbed wax, which enriches and protects the natural beauty of the wood. As a result, the wood will remain beautiful for many years to come, particularly as a patina sets in. The underlying structure of this bookcase is quite strong, as it needs to be in order to support the substantial number of books that would fit on its shelves. Each shelf is thick and sturdy, while the plinth base provides sturdy support, and the underlying structure is solid wood. Because of these quality elements, this mahogany office bookcase will last for many decades to come, as any truly heirloom quality piece should!

English Classics Furniture Antique Style Mahogany Revolving Bookcase
This elegant mahogany revolving bookcase was recently crafted in England. Like all of our quality period furniture, the materials used and the techniques that refined them are of the highest caliber in English cabinetry. The mahogany itself was treated to a rich stain, then finished and rubbed with a fine coat of wax. Just as caretakers and collectors have done for hundreds of years, this wax coating can be repaired and maintained by reapplying wax twice a year. Further embellishing the top is a period style fan inlay. A series of brass brads, which secure the distinctive slats to the bookcase’s structure, contrast quite well with the mahogany, forming a mellow complement to the darker wood. Certainly no detail was lost on this piece; not only is the top beautifully vignetted thanks to a skillfully executed finishing process, but each shelf is finely finished to bring out the considerable beauty of the mahogany. Such is the organic character of period style furniture like this bookcase, which offers a striking combination of beautiful design and a functionality that feels decidedly modern. Yet, for centuries now, very little has changed in the design or use in revolving bookcases like this one. A total of eight distinct sections provide book storage (each section measuring 9.25″ wide x 6.5″ deep x 12.75″ tall), which is conveniently accessible simply by rotating this lovely bookcase around its sturdy plinth base. Due to its modest height and compact usability, this bookcase would function quite well as a side table next to seating, so it is well-suited to multiple purposes. Indeed, historically these bookcases have been collected not only for their use or classic design, but precisely for the combination of the two. This revolving bookcase would certainly make a fine addition to any period English furniture collection!
