Louis Poulsen PH 3/2.5 Outdoor Wall Sconce
The iconic three shade system of the PH series of lighting fixtures was created in 1925/1926 by Poul Henningsen for an exhibition in Paris. The designer was determined to produce glare free lighting that was directed where it was needed most while creating soft shadows. The three shade system creates an even distribution of light as each shade reduces the light equally due to their distance from the light source. This is the first lamp to have been created using the scientific model of the logarithmic spiral as a basis for light distribution. There have been approximately one thousand variations of the original lamp with several floor, table, wall, and pendant versions currently available. The PH 3/2.5 Outdoor Wall Sconce is made of spun stainless steel and is surface mounted over a recessed junction box. It accepts a 60W max E26 base bulb (not included).

PH 3-2 1/2 Wall Sconce By Louis Poulsen
Poul Henningsen designed the three-shade system during 1925/1926. The first lights using the system were designed for an exhibition in Paris. His work with Louis Poulsen continued until his death in 1967. Throughout his life, PH sought to create glare-free lighting; aiming to direct light where it was most needed, and creating soft shadows while using incandescent bulbs as a light source. PH 3/2½ Wall is a member of the three-shade family and is one of 19 versions available today. Approximately one thousand different models have been produced over the years and consisted of table, floor and wall lamps, as well as a number of different chandeliers, which were very popular in the 30s for lighting private homes with high ceilings. PH 3/2½ Wall consists of an approximately 30 cm top shade, but uses lower shades from the 2½ model. These hybrid models were introduced due to the desire to hang pendants at lower heights. The system was also used for wall, floor and table lamps. PH 3/2½ Wall was introduced in 2005. Features. Designed by Poul Henningsen, 1925/1926. Type: Wall light. The shades have a matte white painted interior surface, diffusing the light in a comfortable way. Finish: Black, powder coated. Louis Poulsen - AJ Royal Wall Lamp
The AJ Wall Lamp is a design of the Danish design icon Arne Jacobsen for the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen that was inaugurated in the year 1960. Arne Jacobsen did not only create the building, he also designed the whole interior furnishing including cutlery, fabrics and lamps among other pieces of furniture, he created one of the first design hotels of the world. The AJ Wall Lamp is based on the same principles like the AJ floor lamp. For a better use as working lamp the shade has been enlarged. The standard lamp consists of a lamp holder in an enamelled brass rod. There is a tilting mechanism in the tube. The angles of the conical metal shade are made according to the lamp holder angle, it was thought like that, and however, really the angles have been adapted a little as a visual correction. When the lamp has tilted downwards, the border of the holder stays horizontally. The interior of the shade is matt white enamelled. The bulb shielding is efficient; one can’t see the light source. If a clear bulb is inserted, the light is exploited the best and the light beams are separated. The AJ Royal Wall Lamp attracts attraction through its exceptional swinging and turning shade whose asymmetric form does accordingly spread the light. AJ Royal – a modern classic. The press switch is on the wall box.
