Salvaged Wood Architectural Column Game Table
Purpose-built for gaming, our table offers the well-worn character of traditional English pub furnishings. The tabletop, inset with leather, allows for smooth dealing and flawless dice-throwing. Six drawers tucked flush with the apron store cards, chips and dice, while a wide wood rim provides a place to set your pint or cocktail. Both the massive, hand-carved base and the broad top are crafted from reclaimed pine, salvaged from 100-year-old buildings in Great Britain. Rough-hewn salvaged wood planks, which will vary somewhat in color and grain, are carefully hand-selected, planed and lightly hand sanded, yet may show marks of previous use. Unfinished, unsealed salvaged wood bears a timeworn patina and includes distinctive nicks, splits, cracks, knots and imperfections that speak of the wood's age and provenance. Salvaged wood will continue to change over time as it interacts with its home environment, and will age beautifully. Tabletop has an inset leather surface, traditional for playing card and dice games. Six deep drawers pull out from the apron on smooth metal glides. Seats up to 6. By their nature, unsealed salvaged wood planks may be somewhat uneven and may cup or bow over time due to changes in temperature or humidity. We believe this only enhances the table's rustic, unique character. This item is artisan-crafted with meticulous care. Given its handmade and hand-finished nature, variations and imperfections in the wood are to be expected and celebrated. Each salvaged item is an original and no two pieces are exactly alike. Wipe wood using a damp cloth with mild soap and water, followed by a dry cloth. Wipe spills up immediately with a dry cloth. Wipe leather with a soft, dry cloth as needed.
