    Vitra Hal Armchair Tube Stackable
Design Jasper Morrison, 2014. Tubular steel base, polypropylene. Made in Germany by Vitra. Jasper Morrison has added a new option to the HAL chair family: the HAL Armchair. Based on the HAL seat shell, he developed an organic one-piece shell that takes on a distinctive look of its own with the curved armrests 'growing' out from the sides - while still bearing a clear family resemblance to the rest of the line. The shell construction responds to the physical forces operating on the seat and provides maximum stability and superb comfort with a minimum amount of material. Born in London, Jasper Morrison studied design at the Royal College of Art and at the HdK in Berlin. Editor of the Design Year Book in 1999 with a passion for the history of design. Morrison's objects provide a quiet contrast to the creative exuberance of the Eighties. The visual restraint, high functionalism and constructive simplicity attract attention to his work. Hal armchair tube is stackable and features a four-leg tubular steel base with chrome-plated finish. The Hal armchair family is offered in a choice of four base options: tubular steel or wood as well as a five-star base on castors. The cutouts underneath the armrests make it possible to stack the HAL Armchair version with a tubular steel base. Hal armchair tube stackable: 24.5" w | 20" d | 31.25" h | seat: 18.25" h | 18" d.

Hal armchair studio features a five-star, die-cast aluminum base powder-coated smooth in basic dark and includes swivel mechanism and height adjustment. Vitra Jill Chair With Tube Base
Design Alfredo Haberli, 2011. Veneer wood shell, tubular steel base, plastic glides. Made in Germany by Vitra. In the 1940s, Charles & Ray Eames opened up an entire universe of possibilities for the design world with their breakthrough success in the three-dimensional molding of plywood. Some seventy years later, the new universal chair Jill takes up this manufacturing technique and probes the present-day boundaries. Paying homage to the Eames design, the chair sets new standards made possible by subsequent technological developments. Using a patented process, the cut edges of the ash, oak or walnut veneer are drawn together, bending and flexing the shell until they meet in the middle of the seat. An opening remains in the angle between seat and back, with the thickness of the plywood tapering towards the top of the chair. This gives Jill its remarkable degree of flexibility and comfort, which is unexpected from a wooden seat shell. The non-stacking bases (Wood, Fourstar and Tube) give the chair a contemporary look. Optional padded seat covers provide for even greater comfort. Snaps on the underside of the seat allow for easy removal and reattachment of the seat covers. Vitra - Aluminium Group EA 104 Swivel Chair
Initially designed for the private house of an arts collector, the Aluminium Chairs by Charles & Ray Eames became real classic pieces of the 20th century finding their way through the whole world. The design marriage renounced the principle of a seating bowl and replaced it by tensed textile and leather belts, with spring feathers between the sides of aluminium. The Aluminium Chair EA 104 adapts to the body and it offers a lot of comfort, even without lavish upholstery. These qualities make the EA 104 office chair equally suitable for offices, public rooms and private areas. The Aluminium Chair EA 104 is ideally suitable to be used at a table: It is slimmer than the other Aluminium Chairs, the seating position is more upright and a little higher, the armrests are shorter. The EA 104 is therewith perfectly suitable for private dining rooms, restaurants or for meeting rooms in offices. The Vitra EA 104 is also available in further colours, with other fabrics and as EA 101 without armrests and without swivel base as well as EA 103 with armrests, but without swivel base. Besides the EA 104 and the similar EA 101 and 103, there are also many further available models of the Vitra Aluminium Group.

Design Verner Panton, 1970. Polyurethane foam, polystyrene core, MDF base. Made in Germany by Vitra. "Most people spend their lives living in dreary, beige conformity, mortally afraid of using color. The main purpose of my work is to provoke people into using their imagination and make their surroundings more exciting." -Verner Panton. In 1970, Danish designer Verner Panton was commissioned by Bayer AG to create Visiona 2, a living landscape that became known as one of the most radical future living scenarios of the 20th century. Inspired by Pop Culture and Science Fiction, Visiona 2 brought the societal transformation of the 1960s and 1970s into the private living sphere, instead of clear room divisions and conventional furniture, Panton applied colorful upholstery elements that projected a relaxed, informal lifestyle. Verner Panton designed the Visiona Stool as part of the interior installation created in 1970 for his legendary Visiona exhibition in Cologne. The compact upholstered stool not only provides practical and comfortable seating but also adds vibrant color accents that can be coordinated with any interior, thanks to the large selection of fabric colors. The unobtrusive geometric shape allows the Visiona Stool to be paired with a wide range of furnishings. Due to its light weight, it can be easily repositioned and combined into spontaneous groupings. The robust fabric cover is secured with an elastic band, which makes it simple to remove and clean. 16" h | 16.5" dia.

    Vitra Tip Ton Chair
Design Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, 2011. Polypropylene. Made in Germany by Vitra. Tip Ton defines a whole new chair typology: the solid plastic chair with forward-tilt action. Its name refers to the two types of sitting experiences that characterize the chair - from a normal position, Tip Ton can be tilted a few degrees forward where it then stays in place. The innovation behind this seemingly simple feature lies in the skids, which rise at a nine-degree angle. The forward-tilt sitting position straightens the pelvis and spine and thus improves circulation to the abdominal and back muscles. Thanks to its striking appearance, Tip Ton is an outstanding dining table or home-office solution: it is also ideal for use in restaurants, conference and meeting spaces and educational institutions. Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby studied architecture together at the Royal College of Art in London. Since that time they have worked on projects where industrial design, furniture design and architecture intersect. Tip Ton is their first design in collaboration with Vitra. Tip Ton is available in eight colors and stacks four high. It is extremely durable and up to 100% recyclable. 31" h | 20" w | 21.75" d | seat: 18.5" h.

Design Hella Jongerius, 2013. Polyurethane foam & fibers, polyester cover, polyamide bottom. Made in Germany by Vitra. Like all pieces created by Hella Jongerius, Mochi bears the clear signature of the Dutch designer: with its lovingly crafted details and contrasting color combinations, this soft seating object adds a bold accent in any living environment. Mochi is both a spontaneous seating option and a decorative ottoman for lounge chairs and sofas. Hella Jongerius developed several motifs that are full of innuendo and ironic allusions. The first motif, called Lacemaker, shows the head of a girl engrossed in embroidery and is borrowed from a painting by the Dutch master Vermeer van Delft. The portrait is surrounded by a freely formed, looped pattern. The second motif, Pottery, consists of an arrangement of ancient-looking pitchers with little embroidered hearts rising up between them like bubbles. Jongerious uses various stitching styles and different coloured threads for the embroidery, which is realized with the aid of a computer-controlled machine. It gives the images additional charm. The form-fitting knit cover was specially developed for Mochi and is easy to remove and clean. Thanks to the robust bottom surface, the pouf can be used everywhere. 29.5" dia. | 16.25" h.

Futuristic appealing spheres connect to the familiar archetype of a traditional table in the Vitra Sphere Table, introducing a question mark into every place it is in. The Vitra Sphere Table emerged in the event of the re-edition of the North Delegates Lounge at the United Nations headquarter in New York, according to a design of Hella Jongerius. The generalisation of the building moved her to integrate an own designed piece of furniture. Vitra now started the serial production of the Sphere Table. The Vitra Sphere Table is a massive wooden table with a big half-sphere made of milky Plexiglas. This one can be installed on the left and the right side of the table and it has enough room for the adaptation to individual demands in the home office – since there is the place for this table to be, because the “Bubble” makes it possible to separate the working place from the rest of the room. Products designed by Hella Jongerius exhibit her unique manner of fusing industry and craft, high- and low-tech, traditional and modern - characteristics which are also evident in the East River Chair: with its distinctive form and casual combination of such diverse materials as wood, metal, leather and fabric, this small armchair clearly bears the Dutch designer's signature. The colors of the East River Chair are carefully coordinated. Depending on the selection of color combinations, the chair has a very different look, ranging from muted and calm to cheerful and bright. The choice of colors and materials is not based on purely aesthetic reasons: the practical leather covers protect the armrests from dirt and wear, and the thicker padding of the seat cushion, which extends up to the backrest, provides comfortable lumbar support. Thanks to the convenient strap handle on the rear side of the backrest, this compact armchair lends itself to flexible applications. East River chair features a plastic laminate seat shell with polyurethane foam and covered in a variety of fabric combinations. The legs are either natural oak with powder-coated steel cross braces in ivory or dark oak legs with powder-coated steel cross braces in coffee. RAR (Rocking Armchair Rod Base) is the rocking chair within the famous collection of Vitra’s Eames Plastic Armchairs. Plastic Armchairs were first presented as part of the famed New York Museum of Modern Art competition, "Low Cost Furniture Design". Their organically shaped seat shells made of fibreglass-reinforced plastic were later combined with various different bases, such as RAR's rockers and manufactured in their millions. In their latest version made of polypropylene the Armchairs now offer even greater sitting comfort. The Eames Plastic Armchair RAR is available in the colours ocean, mauve grey, cream, stone white and mustard.
