Louis Poulsen - Collage 450 Pendant Lamp
The Collage 450 pendant lamp from Louise Campbell is the little sister from the Collage 600 lamp. Collage from the designer Louise Campbell was inspired by the art of light to fall in a wood through all the shapes before it reaches the floor. That is why the Collage 450 umbrella possesses three shapes that have an own pattern respectively. An unimagined depth of light and of the shadow plays appears to the outside like this, and between the different umbrellas respectively. The light passes through the shapes with different strength rates creating a pleasant atmosphere and ensuring not to blend the viewer at any moment. Collage is the smallest edition of the Collage 600 Pendant Lamp collection, which the designer Louise Campbell created for the manufacturer Louis Poulsen. Its 45 cm diameter was chosen on purpose because it maintains the balance and the harmony of the original design – three acrylic screens with laser cut leaf patters, although differentiating itself from the grand edition. The Collage 450 suits excellently to be hanged repetitively and sets accents also as a single lamp. The Pendant Lamp Collage 450 is also available in the colours: Hot Lips (Pink), Juicy Orange, Lemon Yellow and Smoke Screen. Furthermore the Pendant Lamp Collapse 600 and an anti-glare set can be demanded.

Normann Copenhagen - Amp Pendant Lamp
Lighting series with hi-fi inspiration: For Normann Copenhagen, the Danish designer Simon Legald has created the clever lightning series Amp. Glass and marble take care of an impression of visual fragility and sensuous heaviness. An appearance that is nostalgic, yet modern at the same time. The idea for the shape of the Amp Pendant Lamp came when the designer was restoring an old 1960's radio at home. While searching for spare parts for the radio, he was captivated by the glow that emits from the tube amplifier. The simple oval shape and the glow of the lamp is an obvious reference to this, just as the name Amp refers to the English term; tube amplifier. The proportions of the Amp Lamps by Normann Copenhagen have been carefully designed to ensure just the right balance between hard and soft and transparent and opaque. Normann Copenhagen and Legald have highlighted the functional details, for example the way in which the shade of the Amp Pendant Lamp rests on its socket. The connection of the two natural materials create an interesting contrast between the transparent and light glass and the massive, heavy marble. Normann Copenhagen Amp Pendant Lamp: Noble contrasts Simon Legald says: "One can't always define where an idea for a new product comes from. But this time the inspiration was drawn directly from radio and hi-fi equipment. This is clear in the design of Amp. There is something special about the round, transparent shape of a tube amplifier that I thought would translate nicely into a lamp. I opted for the same type of glass used for an hourglass, as the shape had to be curved and narrowed in. To counterbalance the delicacy of the glass, I used marble. I think that the two materials work well together." The Amp lamps are delivered with a suitable, fitting textile cable. For replacing the lamp, the shade can easily be removed without any tools. Die Normann Copenhagen Amp is also available in a dimmable version Amp Table Lamp. Both variants are available with a golden or smoked lamp shade. The Amp Pendant Lamp is available with a socket in an effective black marble or in a glamorous jade green which highlights the natural elegance of the material.

A glass, which is equally suitable for water and wine: This glass by Menu already shows what it was made for with its name. What seems so simple, has a long history of development. Over twenty prototypes of the Water / Wine carafe were created during the design process to test the flow of wine and obtain the maximum aeration. Why is this concept of glass adapted for both, water and wine? The glasses are thicker at their base. This serves for keeping the temperature of the wine when people hold the glass – which it the reason why other wine glasses have a long stem. The simple shape of the Water / Wine glasses make them suitable for all the other drinks, including water, juices, milk and more. Furthermore, Benjamin Hubert’s glasses are stackable, which makes it easy to store and transport them. Menu produces the Water / Wine glasses out of mouth-blown glass. There is also a water / wine carafe available, suiting the glasses. One more clever detail: The W/W glasses also fit in the pourer of the carafe so that everything can be stacked and stored together.

Over twenty prototypes of the Water / Wine carafe were created during the design process to test the flow of wine and obtain the maximum aeration. This makes it obvious how clever the carafe is, which can be used for water or wine equally. Benjamin Hubert achieved in creating a carafe, which was functional and appealing at the same time: The optimized decanting process lets the wine “rain” into the caade in order to let in breathe as much as possible, already while it is pourec – the wine gets 8 times more air with the water & wine carafe by Menu, than remaining in the wine bottle. This doesn’t only upgrade the taste, but it also looks nobler. Finally, the carafe is used to serve its content directly into the glass. The W/W carafe by Menu is also suitable for water, juices and other drinks, since the colander also keeps ice cubes or fruit pieces from falling into the glass. Menu produces the Water / Wine carafe out of mouth-blown glass, silicone and stainless steel. Menu Design Menu - Norm Steel Wall Clock
Norm Steel Clock by Menu is a light and simplistic clock with steel hands - designed by the Copenhagen-based simplicity lovers at Norm Architects. Minimalism is not a modern style. Minimalism has been the norm in many cultures all over the globe since the beginning of civilization. People have strived continually for material poverty as a way to inner luxury. Reduction and perfection have been the main goal for both craftsmen and inventors – because avoiding the irrelevant meant emphasising the important. Norm Architects aim for geometrical purity, a simple naturalness and a reduced authenticity for a sense of calm and repose – which is clearly seen in the Steel Wall Clock, designed by the Danish manufacturer Menu. The powder coated steel looks matt and the soft colours with slightly contrasting pointers remain decently in the visual background. These qualities make the Menu Steel Wall Clock look timeless: It is a master example for the soft minimalism followed by Norm.
