    Zanotta - Mezzadro Stool
The Mezzadro Stool is a design-classic of the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. Already in 1957 they presented the world a first prototype of their stool, which is manufactured by Zanotta since 1970. The seat of this unusual cantilever is a simple tractor seat, which was placed on a wing screw on a bent steel construction by the designer. As another pier, the construction acts as foot out of wood. Every of the parts has a carrying function and nothing on Mezzadro is unnecessary. The design is also outstanding and innovative and draws a bow to the artistic sculpture. Mezzadro reckoned with the stool Sella, for which the brothers Castiglioni converted a bicycle saddle into a seat, as most extreme design of the creative team. It is perfect and a fantasyful symbiosis of shape and function as an exemplary sample of the so-called Radical Designs, a streaming of the Italian design, which seceded itself in the 60s- and 70s- of the 20th century by the doctrine of the functionalism and the famous style - incarnated in Italy through the Bel Design. The Mezzadro Stool by Zanotta is also available in alu, orange, yellow, white and black.

Here comes a concrete phrase about chairs: Contrasting what the name might make you expect, the Concrete Seat by Fatboy is very very weightless. The design stool by Fatboy is a practical and irresistible enrichment inspired by the frequent concrete blocks outside. The monumentally, cubistic shape and still handy size makes the Concrete Seat versatile to be used – as stool in the living room or the garden or as spontaneous side table. The Concrete Seat wouldn’t be completed without the common and clever Fatboy details: The screw-cover at the base can be opened and filled with sand. This is how the stool becomes more resistant, heavy and hard to be stolen when it is outside. Several Concrete Seats together are also usable as bench. The Fatboy Concrete Seat is available in three colours. The suitable Concrete Pillow enables colourful accents for the concrete look and they improve the comfort.

Baleri Italia - Spherical footrest Tattoo Marble
The ancient Romans and Greek already valued the beauty of marble. And it is still a desired decoration element today. Since marble isn’t really comfortable to sit on, Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman passed its look to comfortable seats. The re-interpretation of the Italian design classic Tatino by Enrico Baleri & Denis Santachiara serves as pouf, stool or trendy lounge element because of its height. But it also offers a noble hint to your home as decoration element, attracting curious glimpses, since Carrara-marble has never been more comfortable. The marble print acts three-dimensional and plastic because of the special bi-elastic textile. Reduced shapes ensure unusual ergonomics: The spherical Marble footrest of Baleri Italia is made of FCKW-free polyurethane with a soft and mouldable laxer below and with a firm interior structure of plastic, which perfectly supports the body offering enough resistance to remain comfortably on it. Different prints ensure the suitable footrest for everyone. The Baleri Italia Tattoo is also available in an elliptical edition according to the Tato models, with different designs as well on demand.

Rival is the result of the first collaboration between Artek and the German designer Konstantin Grcic. A re-interpretation of the classic wooden chair for the home or the office. Rival is a universal chair for the home, public rooms or the office. Anchored in the Artek design tradition, Rival represents a re-interpretation of the traditional wooden chair. Thereby the designer used the favourite material of Alvar Aalto – co-founder and embossing character of the Artek design. It looks like a common chair on the first sight, but it can easily be compared with a highly functional office chair when the functionality and the comfort have been tested. The seat under the cushioned seat hides a “knot”, a mechanism which makes the Rival seat pivotable. The comfort and functionality reinforce the intuitive usage of the pivotable chair. The low backrest of the KG001 describes an empty room and it supports the back where it is needed to sit flexibly. The name Rival doesn’t represents rivalry, but self-confidence. It describes the powerful history of Artek and Alvar Aalto. It doesn’t look back, but it proudly says: ‘This is how furniture is made today’. Konstantin Grcic. The Rival chair is available with legs and backrests of clear birch wood or coloured, as well as with a plastic seat of polypropylene in different colours. The seat cushion can be ordered made of leather or 3D rope-fabric. The KG001 chair with the low backrest is also available with a high backrest as KG002.

The Danish manufacturer Hay invited the design brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroulled in order to create a collection for the re-designed University of Copenhaguen (KUA). The result was the Copenhague-Series, which consists of a chair, a bar stool and diverse tables. That’s the reason why the Copenhague Round Table – which is available as dining table and as side table – is very functional, but without getting far too serious in its expression. Since the designers wanted to free the Copenhague Round Table CPH20 from institutional flairs of traditional furniture and they wanted to design objects with bigger originality and a more homely appeal. Hay produces the Copenhague Round Table out of oak wood. Further editions are available on demand.

Hans Hansen - Nenufar Side Tables
Nenufar is the Spanish word for water lilies. Whenever one takes a closer look at the table ensemble by Hans Hansen, the reason for its uncommon name becomes immediately clear. The bottom side of the Hans Hansen Nenufar table top is softly rounded so that the middle is thicker than the edge. The soft and organic appearance of the tables by Hans Hansen is complemented by the manufacturing of oak wood which is additionally coated by a matt lacquer. The lower one of the two Nenufar side tables has a lateral notch at the table top. This does not only serve the natural shape of the water lilies table but also a purpose: The table top can be slid into the leg of the larger side table which makes the two Hans Hansen tables virtually grow together. Thereby, the picture of overlapping water lily leaves in a pond is created. Both of the Nenufar Side Tables can be arranged in many different ways, since the smaller table can be slid below the larger one. As a matter of course the tables can also be used separately.

The Marshmallow Sofa by George Nelson can be considered as one of the first pop art designs of the furniture design. With the design of 1956 Nelson turned the traditional sofainto a three-dimensional report made of soft, colourful cushions. Every single cushion of seat and back rest lay symmetrical, like a waffle form, to the opposite to each other. It is supported by a simple steel structure. The, in the past, new system of the additive construction enables - not like usual sofas - a big colour, and form selection. But it had the consequence, that the production was really expensive because they were hand made. Besides that, because of its unusual design, the sofa did not fit into the contemporary interiors. For this reason, the production of the Marshmallow Sofa had to be closed in 1965. To the Marshmallow Sofa is also a extension element obtainable. Those come with six single cushions and can be put between two sofas, and it is expandable. More details: Design: George Nelson. Material: 18 Cushions in vinyl red, orange, green, purple and blue, frame: Square tube, black. Measurements: 820 X 1313 x 805 mm.

Normann Copenhagen - Circus Pouf Small
The Cisrcus Pouf from Normann Copenhagen is a floor-cushion that connects the festive style of Moroccan cushions with Scandinavian home design. Simon Legald designed the Circus cushion for Normann Copenhagen. He was inspired by traditional Moroccan cushions, whose playfulness he caught regarding the construction and the design, in order to translate it into a modern context. The clear, graphic lines and the round shape is a modern response to the classic pouf we all know. Creative stool for every event The equally straight-lined and friendly design of the Circus Pouf is inviting and it promises comfort. That promise is kept by the seat when we sit down, since inside of the pouf there are different fillings: The base is filled with fixed foam, which offers stability to the modern stool. The Circus Pouf is filled with softer foam on the top, giving surprising comfort to the cushion. The Normann Copenhagen Circus Pouf can be used everywhere: It is suitable as footrest for stools or sofas, as individual seat, as stool in the bedroom or as flexible improvisation seat for unexpected guests. The Normann Copenhagen Circus Pouf is also available in further colours as well as in a bigger edition.

The Amoebe emerged in 1970 in several editions for Verner Panton’s famous Visiona installation. The Danish presented revolutionary new living concepts there, which are still very current and even modern. The name Amoebe shows that Verner Panton thought of living organisms in his one-piece, flowing chairs – Panton’s natural shape doesn’t know any aging. The Amoebe is a succeeded example for this type of ground-based lounge chairs and it embodies the happy-cheeky 70s. Republic of Fritz Hansen Fritz Hansen - Ro Armchair
The internationally famous, Spanish designer Jaime Hayon designed the armchair of the future together with Fritz Hansen. An armchair, which offers relaxation and a little time-out for you, away from the stressful day by day. Time to think is luxury nowadays. We all have a lot of work and hardly time to stop and think a little while. The Ro armchair from Fritz Hansen comes from the desire of furniture which will make us stop running for a moment. Ro is more than an armchair. It has 1½ seats, to relax in them, to find a comfortable position in it, to read newspapers or to configure the computer or spend time with the children - a new comfort zone. The design of the seat is simple, elegant and pleasant for the eyes and the body. In its visual expression and the comfortable functionality, Ro guarantees quietness and relaxation. Moreover the clever shape of the seat makes it possible for you to decide whether to be part of what’s happening in the room you’re in or to enter your own small comfort zone. The design premises of Fritz Hansen for the designer Jaime Hayon said that he should create “a comfortable seat for single persons”. ”We focussed on the shape of the armchair, which is inspired by the human body. Our aim was to create an armchair which would be as comfortable as beautiful. I wanted to create a slim, elegant armchair to think and sit comfortably”, explained Jaime Hayon. “Ro” means quietness on Danish. This name was chosen because it describes the character of the armchair with only two characters and which perfectly expresses the Scandinavian concept for aesthetics that way. The Ro armchair is made by Fritz Hansen according to the highest quality and processing standards. The result of this unique interplay of sculptural and elegant design is a functional and aesthetically appealing armchair, which attracts glimpses in every environment. One can only fall in love with it, since Ro doesn’t compromise in comfort or aestheticism. The relax armchair is available in nine colours: In three traditional colours (black, grey and taupe), in three shiny colours (violet, blue and yellow) and in three soft colours (light pink, sage green and sand). The armchair has different surface structures for the seat and the upholstery for a more dynamic appearance, emphasizing the contrast between the hard outside and the warm, softer inside.
