    Hay Blow Armchair
The lounge chair Blow refers to the classic bean bag in construction and appearance. Both of them are exclusively manufactured from stuffing and fabrics but without the obvious disadvantages of the bean bag such as lack of firmness and comfort. The idea for the chair evolved from a wish to improve and industrialize the expensive process of upholstery of furniture where much of the work is done by hand. With Blow designers Foersom and Hiort-Lorenzen have taken on the challenge of reversing the moulding process in order to facilitate mass production - that is to cover the mould with the fabric and shoot the foam into the fabric rather than covering the set foam with fabric. This technology is used by the car industry to make seats firm but without losing the softness. In detail: Type : Armchair. Colour : Grey. Material : "Polyurethan foam upholstery - Cover in polyester ""Nicole"" fabric - Base in pressed wood" Dimensions : W 87 cm x D 86 cm x H 62 cm - Seat : H 30 cm. Characteristics : Swivel base - Moulded process reversed : Cover the mould with the fabric and shoot the foam into the fabric rather.

The Hackney Sofa of the Wrong for Hay Collection is a classic piece of design- Thereby the timeless couch surprises with a special detail, which is hidden under the surface. The single pieces are easily plugged, offering more flexibility to the shelf. The assembly without any tools isn’t the only easy thing: different board sizes and tubes are also mixed becoming shelves in different sizes. The design, which Lucien Gumy named “L’étagère en bois” on the Cologne furniture fair in 2013, won the junior prize of the fair, the [D3] Contest. Hay produces the Wooden Shelf of massive, matt painted oak wood in different pre-configured sizes. The shelf’s depth is always 38,3 cm. The shelf’s height is available in 177,6 or 213,5 cm and the length varies between 120, 184,2 and 376,8 cm.

Hay - Wrong for Hay Revolver Barstool
Revolver deserves its name: The barstool from Wrong for Hay is able to turn 360°. The Revolver barstool by the designer Leon Ransmeier is a classic elegant stool, which is characterized by straight lines and the finely curved seat. Moreover the barstool from Hay (and from Established & Sons before) has a surprising element: journal bearings are in the base ring. This is how the top part of the stool is rotatable around 360°, which is the origin of its name: Since the rotation of the chair reminds us of the rotation of a revolver’s magazine regarding the appearance and the sound it makes. Besides the rotatable seat, some visual variations of the stool are possible – since the displaced struts of the turned chair give a different appeal to the chair according to their position. The barstool looks gorgeous on private and public rooms as well. Wrong for Hay produces the Revolver barstool of powder coated steel. The stool is available in two sizes and it is robust, longevity and easily cleaned because of its material. The Wrong for Hay Revolver is available in grey, red and black.

Hay - Wrong for Hay Serve Couch Table
With the Serve Table, Wrong for Hay presents a tribute to traditional processing technique. Still the versatile Serve Table has very modern qualities. One of these modern qualities is the flexibility of the Hay Serve Table. The designer Sebastian Wrong and his team of the Wrong for Hay Collection created a table for many different purposes. This is how it can change its purpose easily and fast. The clear design is noticeably responsible for this flexibility: The Serve Table has been kept minimalistic and clear, which is the reason why the couch and side table fits in different homes. A small detail is remarkable: The round, slightly asymmetric border is formed with steam. This fine detail honours classic techniques of furniture construction. Moreover the raised border keeps objects on the table from falling. The oval feet perfectly fulfil the soft shape of the table top. Hay produces the Wrong for Hay Serve Table with feet and frames of massive beech wood and a table top of ash wood veneer. The table by Hay is also available in black, grey, yellow and pink as well as in contrastive colours. We will also gladly advise you for your individual Hay Serve Table!

The Stanley Stool reminds us of the famous Stool 60 by Artek, since the simple shape of the design legend Alvar Aalto already proved its timelessness. The label Wrong for Hay and the design duo Faudet Harrison however, made the legs without curves and they used modern materials, in order to bring the iconic stool into modernity. The visible construction and the design clearness of the Wrong for Hay Frame Table transform it into a modern dining table which is clearly anchored in Scandinavian design. The name “Frame” already emphasizes what it is about. The wooden frame of the table has been processed finely. The detailed construction and the still massive appearance were created by both designers Line Depping and Jakob Jørgensen. Wrong for Hay produces the Frame Table out of massive ash or beech wood, both of them in a soaped or a matt painted edition. Moreover there is a grey version, with the table top coated with linoleum. The Hay dining table is even more gorgeous combined with the Frame Bench made by Hay as well. The Wrong for Hay Frame Table is also available in an edition of 250 cm.

Hay - Wrong for Hay Serve Side Table

Hay - Wrong for Hay Trion Table
Trion is a versatile table by Wrong for Hay. It is suitable for many purposes, but the special detail of it is that the trestles have three legs each one. Shane Schneck thought about reducing the construction of the frame of the table when he designed Trion for Wrong for Hay. The three-legs trestle at one of both ends of the table resulted out of this process. The special table frame out of powder coated steel has a special position under the Trion Table, which is why it is different to the table top regarding the colour. The weightless composite table top doesn’t distract from the specialty of the trestles with its minimalistic design. The surface of the Trion Table top is coated with soft linoleum, which makes the table suitable as dining table and working desk equally. The Wrong for Hay Trion Table is also available with a size of 250 cm. The table top is also available in two brighter grey tones and the table legs in shiny green or yellow. The extravagant base is also available without table top as simple trestles.

The surprise is that, despite of the clearness, the chair is still very comfortable: The “slope” in the backrest and seat of the chair makes it ergonomic. Hay produces the seat and the backrest of PU-foam, which is flexible and adaptable to the body. The frame is made of ash wood. The Wrong for Hay Slope chair is also available with different frames (natural or black stained ash wood and oiled oak wood) and seats (black, grey and green).

That’s the reason why the Copenhague Round Table – which is available as dining table and as side table – is very functional, but without getting far too serious in its expression. Since the designers wanted to free the Copenhague Round Table CPH20 from institutional flairs of traditional furniture and they wanted to design objects with bigger originality and a more homely appeal. Hay - Woody Sideboard
The Woody Sideboard from Hay is the smaller brother from the Woody shelves. It possesses the same design and the same qualities like the shelf, but in sideboard dimensions. Woody is the modern interpretation inspired by a traditional ladder. Without obvious front and back side it is suitable as free standing furnishing element as well as standing at a wall. Also it follows the idea not to create a shelf that looks too dominant combined with the sideboard so that there is enough room for the objects that are placed in the shelf. Woody decidedly wears the spirit of modern times in it. It renounces unnecessary knick-knacks and the details of the construction are not hidden. The sideboard does completely consist of oak wood, wooden bars, steel and screws. The treated oak offers a Scandinavian expression to the shelf that is renewed and contrasted by the shelf inserts. This is how a beautiful connection between tradition and modern time, from simplicity, modernity and playful feelings emerges. Typical for the Danish design company Hay and its exclusive collection – because the fact that the contemporaneous Scandinavian designers can revitalize the tradition from the fifties and sixties is part of the conviction of Rolf Hay, who could enter the market with his company, fast establishing it, in the year 2003.

Colour : Aubergine. Hay DLM Side Table
„DLM“ – „Don’t leave me“, did designer Thomas Bentzen from the Design-Studio Louise Campbell in Copenhagen name his side table. And because of its beauty, no one would think of leaving the side table alone. From the scetch speaks the clear, straight-lined design knowledge of the Danish designer. On DLM is no part too much – and none too less: The three feet of the steel base give it a strong hold. The also made of steel plates make a lot of room, to only place the most necessary on it. The, like a walking stick bended handle shows the idea of the table once again: take me with you! If to the sofa, or on the balcony – DLM is a perfect alternative to the mostly heavy and unmovable couch tables. With this harmony of shape and function the DLM joins the group of Scandinavian design-classics, without copying the masters of the 50s and 60s. This balance of the tradition and modernism is a goal of the Danish manufacturer Hay from Horsens, in whose collection DLM fits perfectly.

    Hay - Hee Chair
The idea for Hee came up of the effort, to design an eco-friendly chair and armchair, whose material is easy to recycle. To create a piece of furniture out of one material, they avoid micro-pollutant transport ways between different production places, and it makes the process of recycling more easy. The main thought was to take an archetypal chair as model and to perfection it in every single detail and to boost it in a higher class and also to make it simpler and make the functionality better. A clear, plain piece of furniture was supposed to be created which should fit in many places - modern, but not too time-specific. Nothing was in vane for this Hee chair, no decorations or work. No part could be taken off, without loosing the function. From the outside it seems playful, but the design doesn't affect its function. Throw-away mentality and environmental awareness don't fit together. To find the balance was also important while the construction - to combine functionality and aesthetics on high level, the exact wire strength had to be chosen. The Hee-chairs, the Lounge Chair and also the bar stool are made of a 11 mm strong metal wire and in their shape they remind on a sketch, a three-dimensional pencil- drawing. Hee is available in the engrossment as a club armchair, as dining chair or as bar stool. It can be looked at in the new Osloer Opera House and in the Australian parliament. The stackable furnitures are galvanised and powder coated. That's why they can be used in every kind of weather and are a good outside furniture, too. Hay Hee is also available in further colours. A matching cushion is also available.

    Hay - Hee Lounge Chair
The idea for Hee came up of the effort, to design an eco-friendly chair and armchair, whose material is easy to recycle. To create a piece of furniture out of one material, they avoid micro-pollutant transport ways between different production places, and it makes the process of recycling more easy. The main thought was to take an archetypal chair as model and to perfection it in every single detail and to boost it in a higher class and also to make it simpler and make the functionality better. A clear, plain piece of furniture was supposed to be created which should fit in many places - modern, but not too time-specific. Nothing is too much on this lounge chair, no decorations. No part could be taken off, without loosing the function. From the outside it seems playful, but the design doesn't affect its function. Throw-away mentality and environmental awareness don't fit together. To find the balance was also important while the construction - to combine functionality and aesthetic on high level, the exact wire strength had to be chosen.

    Hay - Ray Lounge Chair
The Lounge Chair Ray was one of the first furniture pieces which came in production by the design-blacksmiths Hay. And it is the first design for an armchair by Jakob Wagners. Inspiration for Ray was the ocean – its plain, elegant shape is the similar like from its namesake, the Ray. The seating plate is wide, but it still seems really light, just like the fish is Ray thicker in the middle and becomes slender to the "wing tips". This is because of the soft springing which makes a nicer seating comfort. The overhanging of the seat makes it possible to put a magazine or plate next to you, or to just put your feet up. With the harmony of shape and function Ray purport any direction, with which Hay became famous in the design scene: The perfect balance of Scandinavian tradition and modernism stand for the whole collection of the Danish manufacturer from Horsens. Ray is also available as swivel chair. Furthermore there are further fabrics and colours available against extra charge.

Hay - DLM XL side table
The popular DLM side table from the designer Thomas Bentzen has grown up: the Danish company Hay now also provides the small side table DLM in a XL variant. The DLM XL side table has a 10 cm larger diameter than its smaller brother, and it is 7 cm higher. Despite its size, the table remains the same. “DLM” – “Don’t leave me”, is how the designer Thomas Bentzen from the design studio Louise Campbell from Copenhagen called his side table. Considering this simple beauty, no one would have the idea of leaving this table behind. The clear, straight lined design-appreciation of the Danish designer is explained by the design. Also at the DLM XL there is nothing unnecessary – and nothing missed: the three legs of the steel frame offer secure hold. The also steel made panel offers enough space to reduce it to the essential. And the cane swung grip clearly expresses the idea of the table once again: take me with you! Whether to the sofa, on the balcony or the terrace – DLM is the perfect alternative to normally unmovable couch tables. With this harmony of form and function the DLM and the DLM XL tables line themselves in the group of the Scandinavian design classic without simply copying the masters of the fifties and sixties. This balance of tradition and modern is a constituted goal of the Danish manufacturer Hay of Horsens, in whose collection the DLM XL suits perfectly.

    J110 Chair by Hay
J110 dining chair is part of HAY's relaunch of the Danish furniture classics originally made for FDB (The Danish Consumers Co-operative Society). Functionalist and democratic design for the people - that was the main idea behind the furniture production started by FDB in the 1940s. By shifting to industrial production and thus deceasing the costs FDB pushed forward the availability of designer furniture for ordinary people by making high quality design furniture at relatively low prices. The J110 chair is designed by Jorgen Baekmark and is made from beech wood in natural wood and 4 colours - white, grey, coral and black. It has the same seat height as other dining chairs but because of the high back it bears a certain resemblance to a lounge chair. Requires some simple assembly. Available to buy individually Materials: Solid beech, soap treated or lacquered. Dimensions: W 53 x D 60 x H 106 cm (seat height 44.5cm) Arm rest height 68.5cm (allow at least 69 - 70cm for chair to fit under a dining table)
