Magis Design Magis - Tom The Wild Bunch Barstool
Tom & Jerry by Magis is a stool which finds new points of view with its contrasts. Thanks to its low size and the adjustable height, it is versatile usable. The design by Konstantin Grcic is based on classic workshop stools. The colourful elements with the height adjustable screw create a colour and material contrast – since what would Tom & Jerry be without tension between the main characters? Since the stool by Magis is still acting unobtrusively, it can be used in living and object rooms equally. The seat height of the stool (Tom) can be step-less adapted between 70 and 86 cm. The corpus of the stool by Magis consists of massive beech wood, while the screw and the connecting element are made out of polypropylene. The barstool Tom has its counterpart in a small stool called Jerry.

Magis Design Magis - Baguette Table
Who only thinks of something eatable by the word Baguette, will learn better with the eponymous piece of furniture by the design brothers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. The baguette table is perfectly suitable as dining table – its name however, leads to a different direction: Its filigree form, and not its function. Baguette can have many meanings out of the French language: Besides a white bar of bread, Baguette can also be a rod, a whip, a tact rod, capping strips and many other slim things. The intention of the brothers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec was to design an aluminium table frame but to consume as little aluminium as possible for this – therefrom the graceful shape of the frame. The effect is not only its appearance, but much more a graphic feature, because it appears as if massive table boards of four smooth (eating-)bars were supporting it. Moreover converging feet in a triangle and the rectangular table top follow a strict, geometric shaping. The Italian company Magis produces the Baguette table in two sizes (table top length: 160 Cm or 205 cm). The table feet consist of aluminium, the traverse out of profile aluminium. The frames are available in glossy polished or white / black lacquered editions. This last one can also be used outdoors with the according table top. Also the materials the tables are made of are exclusive: From less expensive MDF board (white of black lacquered), over glass tops (white dyed through) up to noble table boards out of natural stone (quartzite or Italian slate), Magis offers suitable solutions for every interior.

Magis Design Magis - Steelwood Shelving System
The Steelwood family by Magis is a reaction to the meanwhile wide spread trend of producing furniture out of plastic. Magis has also produced many plastic products in its manufacturing history, but in this case, the designers wanted the further development of something different and new. The French designers and brothers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec developed the Steelwood family as the name reveals, out of metal and wood. Together both materials for an exceptional combination since wood and metal contrast each other, but still being a perfect fulfill. Magis produces the successful Steelwood family since 2008; this one was enlarged by a shelving system in 2009. The principle of the shelving system is based on modularity. Each module consists of pillars and diagonal rods out of massive beech (natural or colour lacquered), connection joints out of epoxide lacquered steel panel as well as bases out of MDF. The construction box principle enables numerous variants. A single module possesses 2 deposits and can furthermore be used as single side table or as night table. A presentable sideboard can for example be constructed out of 3 boards over each other and 3 modules besides each other. Magis delivers the most different pre-manufactured sizes up to complete shelving walls with 6 deposit boards over each other and 6 besides each other (H 210 cm, L 358 cm). The shelf is always delivered unassembled.
