    Menu Small table Yeh Wall
Yeh Wall Table is designed by Taiwan-based designer, Kenyon Yeh. He found the inspiration to this mobile side-table after observing a cheerleading practise at a neighbouring school in his hometown. Kenyon Yeh: "I was walking to my studio and passed a school where two students were practising balance and strength for their cheerleading routines. The guy was with his back resting against the wall, in a sitting position without a chair, while the girl was standing on his thighs with her arms stretched out". The scene inspired Kenyon to design a minimalistic table with clean lines standing on only two legs. To compensate the two missing legs, a part of the thin tabletop is bent upwards in a 90-degree angle against the wall. Two thin and slightly angled tubular steel legs give additional stability. No other fixtures are needed for the table to support what's placed on top of it. "Yeh Wall Table mimics a person in sitting position with the back resting against the wall and the legs firmly placed on the ground. If muscles and bone structure carries the person, coated steel is what gives the table necessary stability. These characteristics that give an imaginative floating sensation and added value to the design", says to Kenyon. Yeh Wall Table is a functional design that can be used as a side-table for books, plants, a table lamp or small objects. It's light, mobile and a clever solution for homes with limited spaces. It's presented in a high and a low version. In detail: Type : Supplement table. Colour : Moss green. Material : Powder coated Steel. Dimensions : L 40 cm x D 32 cm x H 52,5 cm. Characteristics : 2 legs - No wall fixation : just laying on a wall.

    Menu Afterroom chair
The first Menu chair ever is a three-legged one, and it's the result of deconstructing an item, piece by piece, with the purpose of obtaining an original design. The chair is created by Taiwanese duo: Hung-Ming Chen and Chen-Yen Wei, also known as Afteroom. Operating from their Stockholm-based design studio their inspiration derives from an intriguing interest of forms, senses, proportions, materials and cultures. And with a clear and non-compromising aesthetic vision, they take the meaning of simplistic design to a whole new level. "The Afteroom Chair is an homage to Bauhaus and functionalism. The simplicity of its design combined with the quality of materials is what's important. We embraced the challenge of designing something minimalistic with clean lines, without in any way compromise its comfort. In that sense we've looked towards classic Scandinavian features as inspiration", says Hung-Ming. The rounded details such as the seat and flexible back support, both in wood, contrast the solid steel frame. And when looking at the chair, it's difficult to differentiate what is what, due to the designers' attention to detail. Chen-Yen Wei: "Afteroom Chair is based on the concept of reducing the amount of materials to the minimum and by doing so pushing the aesthetic appearance to the maximum. It's a designer's job to develop functional objects without compromising the aesthetics and it's important never to look back, unless it's for the purpose of finding very good references, of course. In detail: Type : Chair. Colour : Black. Material : Powder coated Steel, Wood. Dimensions : W 43 cm x D 54 cm x H 77 cm. Characteristics : 3 legs.

"Renowned for his whimsical drawings, CATCH is capturing Hayon's playfulness, while creating a comfortable, upholstered chair with a very light touch. The armrests extend from the padded backrest like literal limbs, ready to embrace you as you sit down. The wooden legs in stained or white-oiled oak adds a grace and lightness to the chair. Our collaboration with Jaime Hayon dates back to when the company was founded in 2010,"" says brand director martin Kornbek Hansen. But this is the first product to come out of the exchange between Hayon and &tradition, that started over a steak dinner. ""It's a curious relationship,"" says Hayon of the collaboration with &tradition, ""because I come from a very different ambience. I've always liked scandinavian design, but I never knew I'd end up designing for great companies in the north."" The meeting of Hayon's mediterranean aesthetic with the heritage of the scandinavian craftsmanship has given rise to an innovative form. TRAFFIC is a collection of furniture using wire and upholstery. The correlation between the three-dimensional line drawing of the metal rod and the geometric volumes of the cushions marks a significant shift from the common connotation of wire furniture. The unassuming simplicity of its conception impart a pleasant casualness. The refinement of detailing and carefully tailored proportions stimulate a resounding elegance. The inherent logic of construction creates a formal grammar which allows for a number of functional declinations to form the TRAFFIC collection: an armchair, a two seater sofa, a small bench (which also serves as ottoman), a chaise longue. All pieces are available with upholstery in fabric or leather. The metal structure is either powder coated (in high gloss colours) or chrome plated. In detail: Type : Armchair. Colour : Dark brown. Opinion Ciatti Ptolomeo Wall Bookcase - H 155 cm
"Bruno Rainaldi about Ptolomeo collection: """"Piles of books on the study tables, too many to get round with the duster. Piles of books on all the other table in the house, that you have to move every time you need to lay the table. A pile on the bedside table to the left of the bed, and another on the floor beside the bed. Some more on the right. Books piled up in the spaces between others stacked on the book-shelves. Not really manageable the pile on the sofa in all its multiplicity of shape and content. Finding the essay on The order of Things, bought last Saturday, is no easy matter. On the chest in the entrance hall, belonging to some greatgrandmother or other and relic of tens of removals, a veritable forest of piles has grown up. Forgotten uncut books swallowed up who knows where. This is my home. This in all the houses where books, that indispensable prop of life, are cherished. Look at the piles, gaze fascinated at those so high that they seem to mock the law of gravity. Translate this fantastic image into a real object. Ptolomeo act one. Dedicated to he who, first, collected with intelligent passion everything that had ever been written, with no censure, no fear." In detail: Type : Bookcase. Colour : White. Material : Lacquered steel. Dimensions : W 19 cm x D 20 cm x H 155 cm. Characteristics : The piled books hide the structure and the shelves of the bookcase - Designer's signing inscribed on the base.

    Objekto Gaivota - Rocking chair
"The emblematic part of the work of Renaud Bonzon is certainly the rocking chair ""Gaivota"", probably the most rewarded creation in Brazil, combining at the same time aestheticism and ergonomy. Both Museum of the Brazilian House Prize and Movesp Prize winner in 1988, this creation was selected in 1990 to represent Brazil at the Biennial of Design in São Paulo. The curved forms of both seat and back were defined by Renaud Bonzon, as he was sat in deep snow during a stay in French Alps and had a look at his bodyprint after standing up. Keeping ergonomy in mind, Reno wanted to reproduce this confortable form. He paid a special attention to both dimensions and balance making this rocking chair very confortable whatever the size of the person may be. The Jury of the Museum of the Brazilian House Prize particularly underlined ""the principle of manufacturing giving the product its great lightness"" as well as ""the aesthetic qualities combined with the ergonomic factor"". For the sake of environment he chose the plywood manufacturing process in order to give value to wood trimmings. Furthermore this process allowing the creation of large curves, Reno took advantage of this property to introduce the movement in his creation. The design of the rocking chair, its sinuous curves, irrevocably reminds the movement even statically represented on a picture. Elegance and confort characterize the Gaivota." In detail: Type : Rocking chair. Colour : Black stained beechwood. Material : Beech plywood. Dimensions : W 58 cm x D 109 cm x H 90 cm.

  • Fritz Hansen Egg chair Armchair - / Leather

Fritz Hansen Egg chair Armchair - / Leather
Arne Jacobsen designed the Egg for the lobby and reception areas in the Royal Hotel, in Copenhagen. The commission to design every element of the hotel building as well as the furniture was Jacobsen's grand opportunity to put his theories of integrated design and architecture into practice. The Egg is one of the triumphs of Jacobsen's total design - a sculptural contrast to the building's almost exclusively vertical and horizontal surfaces. The Egg sprang from a new technique, which Jacobsen was the first to use : a strong foam inner shell underneath the upholstery. Like a sculptor, Jacobsen strove to find the shell's perfect shape in clay at home in his own garage. Because of the unique shape, the Egg guarantees a bit of privacy in otherwise public spaces and the Egg - with or without footstool - is ideal for lounge and waiting areas as well as the home. The Egg is available in a wide variety of fabric upholstery as well as leather, always combined with a star shaped base in satin polished aluminium. In detail: Type : Armchair. Colour : Brown leather. Material : Shell : polyurethane foam with glass fibre reinforcement - Polished aluminium base. Dimensions : W 86 cm x D 79 to 95 cm x H 107 cm - Seat : H 37 cm. Characteristics : Swiveling base - Adjustable backrest.

Opinion Ciatti Ptolomeo Wall Bookcase - H 70 cm
Fritz Hansen Fourmi Chair - 4 pieds - Stained ash
News colors available: Light grey, Dark grey, Yellow, Orange, Red, Petrol blue, and Sage green! Initially, Arne Jacobsen designed the Ant for the canteen at Novo Nordic, an international Danish healthcare company. Today, the Ant is one of the prominent icons of the collection. Originally, the Ant was, however, close to ending up as just another prototype, because Fritz Hansen wasn't convinced of the chair's potential. The chair survived the initial scepticism, when Arne Jacobsen guaranteed to buy all chairs produced, if no one else would. Despite its minimalist form and svelte shape, the Ant is an extremely comfortable chair. The Ant is a stackable wooden chair on a chrome or satin chrome base with three or four legs. The chair is available in three different heights and in several lacquered and coloured ash combinations as well as beech, maple and dark stained oak. In detail: Type : Chair. Colour : Yellow. Material : Steel, Plywood: tinted ash. Dimensions : W 51 cm x D 48 cm x H 78 cm - Seat : H 44 cm. Characteristics : Stackable (up to 4 chairs) - Made in Denmark.
