    Wood & Steel Console
Pairing solid unfinished pine timbers and industrial-quality steel, our shelf blends new and old to handsome effect. Handcrafted of unfinished, solid salvaged pine timbers from 100-year-old buildings in Great Britain. Rough-hewn salvaged wood planks, which will vary somewhat in color and grain, are carefully hand-selected, planed and lightly hand sanded, yet may show marks of previous use. Unfinished, unsealed salvaged wood bears a timeworn patina and includes distinctive nicks, splits, cracks, knots and imperfections that speak of the wood's age and provenance. Salvaged wood will continue to change over time as it interacts with its home environment, and will age beautifully. Shelving is inset with industrial-grade perforated steel. Features fixed shelves, caster wheels and steel hinge brackets to secure the planks. Bolted steel bars keep items in place. By their nature, unsealed salvaged wood planks may be somewhat uneven and may cup or bow over time due to changes in temperature or humidity. We believe this only enhances the table's rustic, unique character. This item is artisan-crafted with meticulous care. Given its handmade and hand-finished nature, variations and imperfections in the wood are to be expected and celebrated. Each salvaged item is an original and no two pieces are exactly alike. This item is crafted with unsealed metal that may rust over time, enhancing its rustic one-of-a-kind character. Note that the rust may rub off if it comes in contact with other furniture or fabrics. Care: Wipe using a damp cloth with mild soap and water, followed by a dry cloth. Wipe spills up immediately with a dry cloth.

    English Balustrade Side Table
An antique barrel stand, discovered at England's renowned Swinderby flea market, lent its genteel patina and unique construction to our table. In the 19th century, balusters were often created from four sections of wood, laminated together and then hand-turned on a lathe. We've recreated those balusters true to the antique originals, crafted of solid reclaimed elm with a plank top. Each table is then sanded to achieve an aged patina. Crafted from solid reclaimed elm, with 4 hand-turned balusters and a solid top. By their nature, unsealed salvaged wood planks may be somewhat uneven, and may cup or bow slightly over time, further enhancing their rustic one-of-a-kind character; cracks may be present. Wood is unfinished and unwaxed. For normal daily care, dust with a feather duster or wipe with a clean, dry cloth. This item is artisan crafted with meticulous care. Given its handmade and hand-finished nature, variations in the wood are to be expected and celebrated. Each item is unique and no two are exactly alike.
