Hay - Wrong for Hay Hackney Sofa
The Hackney Sofa of the Wrong for Hay Collection is a classic piece of design- Thereby the timeless couch surprises with a special detail, which is hidden under the surface. The Hackney Sofa comes from the Wrong for Hay Collection, which emerged out of the London designer Sebastian Wrong’s hand. Hay reduced the Hackney Sofa, keeping it minimalistic, so that it would fit in the most different context. The ergonomic and soft cushions make the 3-seater more comfortable than its angular shape might tell. The Hackney Sofa is easy to be transported with one specialty: At its backside and the sides, the frame has hinges, so that it can simply be demounted and also “folded” a little. This isn’t only good if you move with the sofa, but it is also practical when you wish to place it somewhere else in the house. Hay produces the Hackney Sofa with a wooden frame and a coil-springs system. The upholstery is made of 60% PU-foam and 40% down. The Kvadrat fabrics Remix and Steelcut are available as coatings. We will also gladly advise you for individual configurations!

    Normann Copenhagen - Uncle Sofa
Uncle is a sofa which combines the straight forms of modern times with the soft curves of the past. The external layer transmits a stable appearance, while the cushioning acts comfortable and inviting. The selection of the material adds a sensitive ingredient by characteristic, Nordic approaches. The Uncle sofa consists of an upholstered frame with additional cushions. The highly upholstered sofas of the 1950s were the inspiration source for Uncle. To connect both really different looking worlds, the back cushion has been integrated in the frame. The material of the Uncle sofa creates an interesting dynamism by the contrasts between the uniform frame, the differently coloured back and seat cushions and the colourful lacquered frame. All materials have the same colour; this offers a coherent appearance to the sofa. Simon Legald explains: “As designer I am curious about how materials and ideas are connected. Uncle is a sofa that developed out of a dialogue between handicraft and industry. I took Uncle’s ancient handicraft techniques and placed them on a new context. This is how the details of the sofa offer personality to it.” Uncle is designed in a recognizable Nordic design. The sofa is available in four colours.

    Hay - Mags Sofa 2,5-Seater
Everything, what makes a sofa, can't be seen – the springing, the stability of the foam and the age of the fabric coat. Hay Studio used all these elements while production of Mags in a high significance. Because of its high armrest and deep seating plate Mags can ideally be used for resting and comfortable seating. Its compact construction without cushions or seating cushions make it especially flexible. Blankets and cushions can be changed at discretion. Besides a comfy seating comfort a sofa should have a nice design – and that depends on its proportions. The philosophy behind the design of Mags is, that the sofa is should have a strict and simple design, because it takes a lot of space in the room and because of that it can seem a little dominant. Mags is made of single elements made of different lengths. In this case we have a 2,5-Seater, made of two modules. But with its corner- and chaiselounge-modules it is possible for eveyone to design his/her own own sofa, matching to any room and any occasion. Mags is also available on request with knops in the cushions. For questions about the combination of your individual Mags Sofa we are on your command. Besides extra. modules are also other fabrics (also leather) and colours available.

    Vitra - Marshmallow Sofa
The Marshmallow Sofa by George Nelson can be considered as one of the first pop art designs of the furniture design. With the design of 1956 Nelson turned the traditional sofainto a three-dimensional report made of soft, colourful cushions. Every single cushion of seat and back rest lay symmetrical, like a waffle form, to the opposite to each other. It is supported by a simple steel structure. The, in the past, new system of the additive construction enables - not like usual sofas - a big colour, and form selection. But it had the consequence, that the production was really expensive because they were hand made. Besides that, because of its unusual design, the sofa did not fit into the contemporary interiors. For this reason, the production of the Marshmallow Sofa had to be closed in 1965. To the Marshmallow Sofa is also a extension element obtainable. Those come with six single cushions and can be put between two sofas, and it is expandable. More details: Design: George Nelson. Material: 18 cushions in vinyl red, orange, green, purple and blue, frame: square tube, black. Measurements: 820 x 1313 x 805 mm.

Knoll International Knoll - Florence Sofa
As manager of the „Knoll Planning Unit“, Florence Knoll steadily thought about the connections between all furniture pieces when she designed something. It was important to her that furniture was suitable for all kinds of rooms. The geometric forms of the Florence Sofa have their origin in architecture. Florence Knoll would never compromise, which is why she often designed new products when there wasn’t any suitable piece for her room planning. And since she never contemplated herself as a furniture designer, Knoll’s aim for harmony and consistence in design led to many products considered iconic pieces of the manufacturer; simple and unpretentious as the Knoll Florence Sofa. When skycrappers grew in America, Florence Knoll believed she had to adapt her furniture to that new architecture, adapting therewith interior decorations to it as well. She created geometric, clear furniture pieces as the Florence Sofa, which was clearly influenced by her mentor Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, by means of reducing architecture scales and making them more “human” with colours and textures. There is a comfortable springing inside of the sofa, which avoids the body from subsiding: Armrests, seat and backrests of the Florence Sofa are filled with foam in different densities.

    Hay - Mags Sofa, 3-seater
All a good sofa needs isn’t viewable – the spring system, the stability of the foam and the durability of the upholstery. Hay Studio included all of these elements in Mags during its development. Mags is ideally suitable to relax because of his elevated armrests and the deep seat space. Its compact assembly without loose cushions or upholstery make it an adaptable sofa, where blanket and cushion are exchangeable whenever you wish to. Besides a comfortable seat, a sofa should also have an appealing design – and this depends on its proportions. The philosophy behind the design of Mags is that the sofa should have a consequent and simple design, since it is a big piece of furniture, which demands a lot of space, threatening to act far too dominant. The Hay Mags 3-seater consists of three modules. But it is possible for everyone to design an individual sofa with its edge and chaiselongue modules, suiting every room and event. Mags is also available with decoration buttons on its upholstery if desired. We will gladly advise you when it comes to set up your individual Mags sofa. Vitra - Miniature Bocca Sofa
The use of cold-expanded polyurethane makes traditional methods of constructing furniture redundant. One series of sculptural furniture objects stands out amongst the furniture designs of the »Studio 65« group, since it makes radical use of the freedom of design allowed by this new material. And the style of this furniture demonstrates characteristics originating in the pictorial arts of the 1960s: the softening of a Claes Oldenburg, the naive stylization to be found in comics and commercial art, or the giant, intoxicated dimensions assumed by 1960s objects. Alongside an armchair in the shape of a pillared Greek temple and a Babylonian shrine as a playsystem for children, Studio 65's contribution to the »radical design« included a sofa in the shape of a woman's mouth. The subtitle Studio 65 gave to its Sofa Bocca: »alias lips, alias Marylin«, is a reference to the inspiration for this design and its symbolism. Salvador Dalí, to whom the idea for a design of this kind has been attributed, was quoted by Studio 65 in this context as follows: »Objects with a symbolic function leave no room for formal considerations. They are characterized only by each individual's idea of love and are above any notions of shape.« The original of the Bocca Sofa was designed by Studio 65 in 1970 and it is produced as 1:1 model by Gufram, Barolo/Italy, since 1972. The here offered miniature by Vitra (scale 1:6) consists of polyurethane foam and fabrics.

The collection Victoria and Albert emerged with the aim of connecting innovative design with comfort and a soft seat feeling. The concept is then completely different than the “cushioned sculptures” from Ron Arad that were presented in the Moroso catalogues for years. The Victoria and Albert sofa is ideally adapted to be used by more people and different events. The sofa shows a “good form” that can communicate design and function and knows how to connect enthusiasm for innovation and technology with a comfortable outstretched relax-position without following the “dictation of the giant cushion”. Also in this case the designer doesn’t want to create an icon, but a product that can be used normally and that offers a lot of comfort beside the aesthetic appearance. The name Victoria and Albert honours the famous London Museum that has an important exposition with selected works from Ron Arad since June of 2000. The huge success of the collection Victoria & Albert was the motivation for Moroso of researching material and technology more intensively, but without changing formal features. More details: The Victoria and Albert Sofa is also available in widths of 225 cm (Cod. 045), as well as high armrest on the right (Cod. 047) or the left side (Cod. 048) and with different coloured fabrics. Regarding the fabrics selection and further information we will be glad to advise you by phone or via E-mail.

    Vitra - Miniature Marshmallow Sofa
George Nelson is one of the most influential personalities in U.S. design after 1945. As of 1946 he was for many years head of the Design Department at the Herman Miller company, on whose behalf he engaged designers hardly known at the time, such as Charles Eames , Isamu Noguchi, and Alexander Girard. And he was also inspired by other areas of culture: along with his work as an architect, he concerned himself with ongoing sociological and artistic themes. Nelson’s ”Marshmallow”-sofa must be considered one of the earliest "Pop Art" furniture designs: the transformation of a traditional sofa into a threedimensional structure made of soft, colored cushioning. The seat and back are supported by a steel construction and the unit has the shape of an axially symmetrical folded-out waffle. The original of the Marshmallow Sofa was designed by George Nelson in 1956 and it is produced as 1:1 model by the Herman Miller Furniture Company, Zeeland/Michigan/USA and the Vitra International AG, Basel/Switzerland since 1956. The here offered miniature by Vitra (scale 1:6) consists of lacquered steel tube, aluminium and leather cushions.

    Artek - Kiki Sofa
The timeless, elegant forms of the Kiki Sofa by Artek emerged out of the year 1960, when Ilmari Tapiovaara designed it. The Kiki collection was such a huge success that the following development of furniture design was sustainably influenced by it. The continuously quality tested sofa, produced in Finland, consists of a robust upholstery and a steel frame. If one looks a bit closer to it, one will find out that the steel tube is oval, and not round as most of the steel tubes are. This subliminally offers a completely different effect to it. Also the rest of the manufacturing is orientated by the design: this is how the welds are worked flawlessly and the high quality lacquer equips the astonishingly weightless, but still very stable frame with its elegant appearance. The upholstery of the sofa out of PU foam and Dracon is robust, ergonomic and comfortable. The hand worked comfort also invites for longer "sitting etaps" The apparently very weightless Kiki Sofa can be combined with many styles and also used in public as well as private rooms. The Kiki collection won the golden medal on the Milan Triennial in its emerging year 1960 and it counts to the most used pieces of furniture in public areas in Finland. The Kiki Sofa is available as 2-seats and 3-seats specimen or as single lounger. Different colours and fabrics or leathers can be chosen.
