    Moroso Shadowy Armchair
Design Tord Boontje, 2009. Varnished steel, polyethylene strands. Made in Italy by Moroso. The Shadowy chair, deckchair and Sunny Lounger sunbed have shapes that evoke the beach furniture found at the North Sea in Northern Europe in the twenties. These designs have now become contemporary by the use of digitally drawn color patterns and woven by expert African craftsmen using colored plastic threads. Tord Boontje was born in Enschede, Netherlands. He first studied industrial design at the Design Academy in Eindhoven, and followed with a masters from the Royal College of Art in London. Studio Tord Boontje was founded in 1996. The Studio's work draws from a belief that modernism does not mean minimalism, that contemporary does not forsake tradition, and that technology does not abandon people and senses. The colored patterns are obtained by the weaving of four colors with structure in steel with a robust shape. Shadowy has curious ruffles in the end parts, in the armrests and backrest that turn into a parasol cover. The items in the collection are craft pieces: each product is a unique piece and differences in the colors and in the weaves are not to be considered defects. Colors of the strands may slightly fade due to extended sun exposure. 41.25" w | 63" h | 35.5" d | seat: 12.25" h | arms: 24" h.

The Supernatural small armchair features perforations in the body. "The perforations also have the purpose of adding a multi-sensory effect to the chairs when light passes over them to create shadows that enrich the space and thus offer the architectural surfaces unexpected levels of beauty". He worked as a designer for Frog Design on projects such as Walkman for Sony and Computers for Apple. Made by Herman Miller® "Design is a plan for arranging elements in such a way as best to accomplish a particular purpose." -Charles Eames. Because your outdoor spaces deserve the same quality of furniture as your interiors, Herman Miller is offering the Eames Tables Outdoor. Suitable for terraces, patios, or al fresco dining areas in both warm and cool climates, the range of tables offers a durable and sturdy solution wherever a surface is called for. Round and square offered in a wide variety of sizes, surfaces, and heights enable you to select exactly the right weather-resistant table to suit your space and use. It's hard to improve on a classic, but Herman Miller reengineered the Eames Tables to stand up to all types of weather, replacing parts that weren't suitable for outdoor use, adding durable powder coatings, and offering a selection of four North American stone tops. Stones are sourced from four North American quarries and are named after their home state: Georgia White Marble, a luminescent stone from the same source that was used to create Daniel Chester French's 1920 sculpture of Lincoln at the Lincoln Memorial; Georgia Grey Marble, a cloudy grey stone from the same location used in the 2004 renovation of New York's Museum of Modern Art; Wisconsin Black Marble, a unique dark stone speckled with lustrous green and grey veins; and Quebec Graphite Granite, a subtly patterned granite composed of deep hues used to rich effect in Chicago's John Hancock Center. Once extracted, two centimeter-thick slabs of stone are cut to order with a bull-nosed edge and given an eggshell-like honed finish. The four-legged cast aluminum base is available in two powder-coat outdoor finishes. Tops and bases are connected with a bolt that runs the length of the column to ensure strength and durability through years of use. Knoll Schultz Petal Dining Table
Design Richard Schultz, 1960. Aluminum, Steel, HPDE or Teak. Made in USA by Knoll. "The Petal table is a flower that is always in bloom." - Richard Schultz. "I designed the Petal Table to accompany the Bertoia Chairs that Harry Bertoia designed for Knoll. The tops on these tables are made of eight petals, which are mounted on a beautifully crafted cast aluminum spider. I was inspired by Queen Anne's Lace, a weed that grows near our house in Pennsylvania. Each cluster of flowers is supported on its own stem. By making a table in this manner there is no need for a ring support, and each petal is independent which allows the table to expand and contract with the weather." The tables were introduced by Knoll in Los Angeles in 1960 and were immediately made part of the MoMA Design Collection. After 20 years, Knoll and Richard Schultz are together again, offering a comprehensive collection of durable, modern, and iconic outdoor furniture. Richard Schultz is no stranger to Knoll. He previously worked with Harry Bertoia during the development of Bertoia's wire chairs and later designed the Petal Collection to accompany the Diamond Chair. In 1992, Richard Schultz began his own furniture manufacturing and design company, where he and his son, Peter, have been able to build an impressive line of outdoor furniture collections including Topiary, Swell, and Mateo. Now, after 20 years, Knoll and Richard Schultz are together again, providing distinctive modern outdoor furniture. The Petal collection features an aluminum and stainless steel base and stem powder-coated in a variety of colors. The top petals are offered in either white machined HPDE (High Density Polyurethane) or vertically grained Teak with a natural finish. The collection is completed by the coffee and side tables. Made by Herman Miller® "To whom does design address itself: to the greatest number, to the specialist of an enlightened matter, to a privileged social class? Design addresses itself to the need." -Charles Eames. Aluminum Group chairs were originally developed in 1958 as a special project by Ray Eames for a private residence being designed by Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard. At the time, the furniture was called the "leisure group," or "indoor-outdoor group" since it was meant to address the lack of quality outdoor furniture on the market. To ready the chairs and ottoman for outdoor use, Herman Miller developed a new fabric that would be durable enough to weather the elements and still feel good against the skin when you're wearing a bathing suit. Designed by materials consultant Susan Lyons, Outdoor Weave retains the spirit of the original 1958 polyester saran and builds off the technical capabilities of the Aeron chair's Pellicle suspension fabric. Outdoor Weave combines a sturdy monofilament polypropylene for strength and elasticity, with four multifilament polypropylene yarns to give it a great look and feel. It's also recyclable and contains no harmful PVC. It is available in five tones selected to complement the white and graphite satin powder-coated frames. Herman Miller® Eames® Wire-Base Outdoor Table
Design Charles & Ray Eames, 1950. Wire frame, stone top. Made by Herman Miller® "Design is a plan for arranging elements in such a way as best to accomplish a particular purpose." -Charles Eames. A small, low table of elegant rectilinear proportions, the Eames wire base low outdoor table is up to just about any task. Lightweight and easy to move, they are easily arranged and rearranged depending on the occasion. They can be grouped to offer a large surface, or spread out among guests. A selection of stone tops and weather-resistant powder coatings give this classic 1950 Eames design new life outdoors. Once extracted, two centimeter-thick slabs of stone are cut to order with a beveled edge derived from the original Eames design and given an eggshell-like honed finish. The base is offered in a white or graphite satin finish. 15.5" w | 13.25" d | 10" h.

    Vitra Panton Chair
Design Verner Panton, 1960. Injection molded polypropylene. Made in Germany by Vitra. "Most people spend their lives living in dreary, beige conformity, mortally afraid of using color. The main purpose of my work is to provoke people into using their imagination and make their surroundings more exciting." -Verner Panton. Created by Verner Panton in 1960, and with the assistance of Vitra technicians a version was finally ready for series production in 1967. The Panton Chair is the very first ever to be constructed from one continuous piece of material. Since its market launch, the Panton Chair has undergone several production phases. Not until today was it possible to produce it in line with Panton's original idea, namely from consistently dyed, tough plastic with a matt surface and an affordable price. The Panton Chair has won various design awards world-wide and graces the collections of numerous renowned museums. Its expressive shape makes it a true 20th-century design icon. The chair offers great seating comfort thanks to the cantilever base, together with its shape and flexible materials. It can be used on its own or in groups. Panton chairs are a solid plastic chair made in a single mold finished with a matt surface. Please note that special added additives slow down the fading process caused by ultraviolet rays. However, leaving the chair exposed to the sun for an extended period of time can result in color changes. We recommend not leaving the chair in the sun. 19.75" w | 24" d | 32.75" h | seat: 16.25" h | 17.75" d.

The collection is completed by the coffee and dining tables. Foscarini Solar - Outdoor
Design Luca Nicheto, 2011. Polyethylene, textured material. Made in Italy by Foscarini. A poetic and relaxing glow, delimited by the terrestrial curve and framed by nature: this is what inspired solar. Its soft luminosity recalls that of the sun at dawn or at dusk, its hemispherical shape recalls the celestial vault, whereas the round resting surface recalls an eclipse. Not just a new lamp, but a new type of object, a contemporary hearth around which to gather and chat, at home or outside. The two versions of solar differ in certain significant details, depending on the setting they are intended for. In the indoor model, the resting surface is slightly concave, with its edges just slightly raised. The outdoor version instead has a straight resting surface that is flush with the outer edge, to allow the rain to just slip away. The surface finishes are also different: glossy white or dark wood for the indoor version, steel with a characteristic textured effect for the outdoor version. Solar is not only versatile in the settings it blends in with, but also in the fact it can be given different positions and provide different types of lighting. The hemispherical body, made of waterproof and unbreakable polyethylene, is perfectly stable, even when it is tilted by 15°. The angling determines the quantity of light diffused, allowing multiple effects and atmospheres to be created. A bright, warm and intimate center of attraction, Solar is ideal for scenic compositions, such as a large hall or in the garden, to create suggestive light paths. 31.25" dia. | 10.25" h | 15º tilt | requires 1x25W E26 compact fluorescent.
