    Vitra Waver Lounge Chair
Design Konstantin Grcic, 2011. Powder-coated steel, polyurethane, neoprene, plastic. Made in Germany by Vitra. The Waver armchair is the first collaborative project between Vitra and Konstantin Grcic. Waver embodies a new aesthetic, incorporating materials and construction principles from the outdoor sports that inspired the design. The idea behind Waver was to deliberately not use a conventional armchair typology. Though its technical construction is simple, Waver offers the very comfortable seating one generally associates with classic upholstered furniture. The energetic colorfulness of the fabrics and the clearly emphasised connecting and functional elements give Waver its sporty look and feel. Konstantin Grcic was born in Munich, Germany in 1965. After training as a cabinet maker at Parnham College in England he studied design at the Royal College of Art in London from 1988-1990. Konstantin Grcic creates industrial products widely described as pared down, simple, minimalist. What sets him apart from the minimalism in fashionable currency today is that he defines function in human terms, combining maximum formal strictness with considerable mental acuity and humor. Despite its simple construction comprising just one layer of fabric, Waver, in combination with the neck cushion (included), offers a high level of seating comfort. This is further enhanced by its swivel chair function and its large cantilever frame, which allow great freedom of movement. Waver not only complements your living room as a cosy reading or television chair, thanks to its waterproof materials, it is also suitable for use in the garden or on the patio. 30.75" w | 34.25" d | 38.75" h | seat: 18.5" h.

Moroso Victoria & Albert High Table
Design Ron Arad, 2001. Rotationally molded polyethylene. Made in Italy by Moroso. The great success with the Victoria & Albert upholstered armchair encouraged Moroso to look into the use of new materials. The search gave way to a mass-produced, rotationally molded and colored polyethylene. The resistance of the material makes it possible for the armchair to be used in closed and open environments. In fact, the plastic used is resistant to thermal shock as well as to sunlight and is completely recyclable. Hailed as one of the foremost designers of the 20th Century, Ron Arad was born in Tel Aviv and studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Art before moving to London and the Architectural Association where he studied under Peter Cook, founder of Archigram. Ron Arad has successfully established a unique design style using unorthodox combinations of materials and concepts. The Victoria & Albert table is waterproof and fade-resistant for indoor/outdoor use offered in translucent white. 35" dia. | 27.25" h.

Design Kontantin Grcic, 2012. Walnut, douglas fir, thermo-treated ash. Made in Italy by Mattiazzi® The low-slung Medici Chair has generous dimensions and armrests that beckon one to sit and be embraced by the chair's surprising comfort. The chair was inspired by its most essential component-wood. Mattiazzi, masters of crafting beautiful pieces of wood furniture, worked with designer Konstantin Grcic to develop the Medici Chair. Medici's design is a love song to the material, the machinery, and the craftsmen integral to the woodworking process. Says Grcic, "I like the idea of wood cut into planks, which is how it is processed in the first place: the tree slices into planks." Hence the gorgeous geometry of Medici's wood planks, which converge at angles both conducive to reclining and pleasing to the eye. Ideal for use indoors, the Medici Chair comes in natural walnut, natural douglas fir, douglas fir grey anilin, and douglas fir yellow anilin. Knoll Schultz Petal Dining Table
Design Richard Schultz, 1960. Aluminum, Steel, HPDE or Teak. Made in USA by Knoll. "The Petal table is a flower that is always in bloom." - Richard Schultz. "I designed the Petal Table to accompany the Bertoia Chairs that Harry Bertoia designed for Knoll. The tops on these tables are made of eight petals, which are mounted on a beautifully crafted cast aluminum spider. I was inspired by Queen Anne's Lace, a weed that grows near our house in Pennsylvania. Each cluster of flowers is supported on its own stem. By making a table in this manner there is no need for a ring support, and each petal is independent which allows the table to expand and contract with the weather." The tables were introduced by Knoll in Los Angeles in 1960 and were immediately made part of the MoMA Design Collection. After 20 years, Knoll and Richard Schultz are together again, offering a comprehensive collection of durable, modern, and iconic outdoor furniture. Richard Schultz is no stranger to Knoll. He previously worked with Harry Bertoia during the development of Bertoia's wire chairs and later designed the Petal Collection to accompany the Diamond Chair. In 1992, Richard Schultz began his own furniture manufacturing and design company, where he and his son, Peter, have been able to build an impressive line of outdoor furniture collections including Topiary, Swell, and Mateo. Now, after 20 years, Knoll and Richard Schultz are together again, providing distinctive modern outdoor furniture. The Petal collection features an aluminum and stainless steel base and stem powder-coated in a variety of colors. The top petals are offered in either white machined HPDE (High Density Polyurethane) or vertically grained Teak with a natural finish. The collection is completed by the coffee and side tables. Suitable for the outdoors. Optional grey vinyl cover is also available. 28" h | 42" dia.

Made by Herman Miller® "To whom does design address itself: to the greatest number, to the specialist of an enlightened matter, to a privileged social class? Design addresses itself to the need." -Charles Eames. Aluminum Group chairs were originally developed in 1958 as a special project by Ray Eames for a private residence being designed by Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard. At the time, the furniture was called the "leisure group," or "indoor-outdoor group" since it was meant to address the lack of quality outdoor furniture on the market. To ready the chairs and ottoman for outdoor use, Herman Miller developed a new fabric that would be durable enough to weather the elements and still feel good against the skin when you're wearing a bathing suit. Designed by materials consultant Susan Lyons, Outdoor Weave retains the spirit of the original 1958 polyester saran and builds off the technical capabilities of the Aeron chair's Pellicle suspension fabric. Outdoor Weave combines a sturdy monofilament polypropylene for strength and elasticity, with four multifilament polypropylene yarns to give it a great look and feel. It's also recyclable and contains no harmful PVC. It is available in five tones selected to complement the white and graphite satin powder-coated frames. Design Verner Panton, 1960. Injection molded polypropylene. Made in Germany by Vitra. "Most people spend their lives living in dreary, beige conformity, mortally afraid of using color. The main purpose of my work is to provoke people into using their imagination and make their surroundings more exciting." -Verner Panton. Created by Verner Panton in 1960, and with the assistance of Vitra technicians a version was finally ready for series production in 1967. The Panton Chair is the very first ever to be constructed from one continuous piece of material. Since its market launch, the Panton Chair has undergone several production phases. Not until today was it possible to produce it in line with Panton's original idea, namely from consistently dyed, tough plastic with a matt surface and an affordable price. The Panton Chair has won various design awards world-wide and graces the collections of numerous renowned museums. Its expressive shape makes it a true 20th-century design icon. The chair offers great seating comfort thanks to the cantilever base, together with its shape and flexible materials. It can be used on its own or in groups. Panton chairs are a solid plastic chair made in a single mold finished with a matt surface. Please note that special added additives slow down the fading process caused by ultraviolet rays. However, leaving the chair exposed to the sun for an extended period of time can result in color changes. We recommend not leaving the chair in the sun. 19.75" w | 24" d | 32.75" h | seat: 16.25" h | 17.75" d.

    Knoll Schultz Petal End Table
The collection is completed by the coffee and dining tables. Not just a new lamp, but a new type of object, a contemporary hearth around which to gather and chat, at home or outside. The two versions of solar differ in certain significant details, depending on the setting they are intended for. In the indoor model, the resting surface is slightly concave, with its edges just slightly raised. The outdoor version instead has a straight resting surface that is flush with the outer edge, to allow the rain to just slip away. The surface finishes are also different: glossy white or dark wood for the indoor version, steel with a characteristic textured effect for the outdoor version. Solar is not only versatile in the settings it blends in with, but also in the fact it can be given different positions and provide different types of lighting. The hemispherical body, made of waterproof and unbreakable polyethylene, is perfectly stable, even when it is tilted by 15°. The angling determines the quantity of light diffused, allowing multiple effects and atmospheres to be created. A bright, warm and intimate center of attraction, Solar is ideal for scenic compositions, such as a large hall or in the garden, to create suggestive light paths. 31.25" dia. | 10.25" h | 15º tilt | requires 1x25W E26 compact fluorescent.
