    Foscarini Yoko Table Lamp
Design Anderssen & Voll, 2013. Polycarbonate, PMMA. Made in Italy by Foscarini. The Yoko table lamp is a large table lamp from the idea of two intersecting spheres. A frail soap bubble embracing the solid light. Yoko was conceived and built thanks to lengthy and painstaking research of materials and form. Countless tests were carried out meticulously with an acute attention to the detail of the curvature of the lamps silhouette. The extremely sophisticated technology involved plays a fundamental role. It however remains concealed by the rarefied silhouette, and by the perfect balance between the two main pieces. The development of the original concept was skillfully changed to a sophisticated industrialization process; Yoko was made based on the blown molding technique with an innovative material such as Polymethilmethacrylate (PMMA). These modern materials and technologies have made it possible to create an object with immense appeal and with a strong personality. Yoko is offered in your choice of three colors. 16.1" h | base: 1.3" dia. | shade: 4.75" dia. | 12.2" h. requires 1x26W E26 compact fluorescent bulb.

    Foscarini Rituals Table Lamp
Design Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, 2012. Blown satin glass, coated metal. Made in Italy by Foscarini. One, two, three lanterns that are lightweight yet brimming with seductive texture. Three different yet concurrently complementary shapes, balancing between the east and the west. A family of lamps that sheds its relaxing light in the most diverse settings, conveying the magic of rice paper or mulberry tree bark, the raw materials of traditional Japanese lanterns, in the precious physical appeal of blown and frosted glass. The horizontal lines which cut across the surface of the lamps give rise to a soft and charming décor and at the same time contribute to filtering the intensity of the light source, diffusing a full, warm and soft light into the room. They are perfect for use alone or in a harmonious composition of shapes; on a bedside table, a console and a table or even on the floor: for an area dedicated to relaxation or as meditation lamps, wisely lighting both the space we live in as well as our interior world. Ludovica + Roberto Palomba are a group of architects and designers based in Milan, Italy. They primarily deal with architecture, industrial design, exhibit design, art direction, communications and marketing consulting. The collection of three diffuser shapes in hand-blown glass made using a glass-blowing procedure without turning the glass in the mold (referred to as "stationary"); the striped effect is achieved using a mold with negative decorations which are repeated across the surface of the glass, which is subsequently ground manually "by belt" and which then undergoes immersion in acid in order to emphasize the plaster-like effect. The diffuser rests on a die cast zinc alloy tripod coated with epoxy powder paint with a rough finish on the metal surface. Available in two versions with G9 or E27 lampholder, the version with the G9 lampholder features a dimmer on the transparent cable for the gradual adjustment of brightness, while the version with the E27 lampholder is fitted with an on/off switch. rituals 1: 15.75" h | base: 9.5" dia. | cord: 70.75" L | on/off switch 11.75" from lamp. requires 1x15W CFL or 105W E26 or 1x60W G9 halogen bulb. rituals 2: 10" h | base: 13.25" dia. | cord: 70.75" L | on/off switch 11.75" from lamp. requires 1x15W CFL or 105W E26 or 1x60W G9 halogen bulb. rituals 3: 10.5" h | base: 8" dia. | cord: 70.75" L | on/off switch 11.75" from lamp. requires 1x15W CFL or 105W E26 or 1x60W G9 halogen bulb.

This is Metafisica, the new table lamp forged by the Diesel-Foscarini partnership. Foscarini Metal Glass Table Lamp
Design Diesel Living by Foscarini, 2013. Blown glass, pyrex, acid-etched steel. Made in Italy by Foscarini. Resulting from the marriage between the centuries-old tradition of blown glass and the industrial appeal of metal, the Metal Glass lamp recalls an alchemist's still or a lantern from a Gothic setting. It is distinguished by a dense and almost opaque transparency, which is achieved by pouring soda powder into the still-incandescent vitreous paste. The ensuing chemical reaction creates a myriad of bubbles which are transformed into luminous particles, when the lamp is on. The borosilicate glass cylinder inside spreads the light while being part of the design. Each lamp includes a dimmer, is offered in two shapes and your choice of two glass diffuser colors. metal glass 1: 16.25" h | base: 6.25" dia. | 6.6" h | diffuser: 11" dia. cord length: 70.5" L | on/off switch: 23.5" from lamp. metal glass 2: 16.25" h | base: 6.25" dia. | 6.6" h | diffuser: 12.4" dia. cord length: 70.5" L | on/off switch: 23.5" from lamp. requires 1x150W E26 type T10 shielded frosted halogen bulb.

Design Gamfratesi, 2013. Polycarbonate, metal, zamac. Made in Italy by FontanaArte. Cheshire is a family of table, floor and suspension lamps designed by the Danish/Italian duo GamFratesi. These two designers were inspired by Cheshire Cat for this lamp, the cat described by Carroll in Alice in Wonderland. The cat who follows Alice on her journey is often shown sitting down, waiting for something: this image led to the diffuser, with its curved shape and richly embossed finish. Cheshire definitely expresses the Nordic imprint of this studio, embracing simplicity and practicality, but it also has a strong ironic feel thanks precisely to the image of this cat. The diffuser is in polycarbonate. For the table and floor versions, it is opaque and diffuses light downwards, while the suspended version has a clear diffuser for an all-round diffusion of light. The floor and table lamps are offered in different shade & finish options. The Cheshire collection is elegant and contemporary, it is suited to both home and contract settings. 13.8" dia. | 20.9" h | requires 1x30W (opal shade) or 3x23W (colored shade) E26 fluorescent bulbs.

Design Andreas Engesvik, 2013. Polyethylene, polycarbonate, aluminum. Made in Italy by FontanaArte. Blom is a small table lamp by Andreas Engesvik, a Norwegian designer with the ability to instil emotions, appeal and ideas into everyday objects. Taking up very little space, Blom is a light, fun lamp that is easy to pick up and move and suitable for any purpose. Its name, a contraction of the word blomst, which in Norwegian means flower, is inspired by its petal shaped blades. The compact fluorescent bulb guarantees good effective lighting with low energy consumption. The metal base ensures stability for the lamp and when lit, the polycarbonate petals maintain a temperature that permits touching without the risk of burns. Moooi Emperor Table Lamp
Design Neri&Hu, 2009. Bamboo rattan cage, aluminum, glass, steel. Made in The Netherlands by Moooi. This oversized light was inspired by a made-believe folklore story of an Asian emperor & a beautiful nightingale…Once upon a time an Asian emperor was given a nightingale as a gift. The bird was so beautiful and sang in such a bewitching way that the emperor fell immediately in love with it and decided to keep it forever by his side. So the nightingale was put in a beautiful, majestic cage in the imperial chambers & became the delight of the emperor's days…Neri & Hu took on a modern translation of this story and produced a collection of pendant/floor/table lamps in stained woven bamboo. The poetics of an emperor's life, a life no longer relevant in today's world, can be abstracted in the form of an object such as the light. The use of hand-crafted bamboo weaving in an industrial product creates an elegant yet uncanny design statement. A lamp so particular & majestic that it could become your personal nightingale…forever by your side to brighten up your days. The Emperor collection includes suspension, floor and table lamps. They are offered with a glass diffuser that creates a very warm glow of light. Each cage is woven by hand and therefore has a unique character. Touch dimmer on table lamp is operated by touching the stem. 25.2" h | shade: 13" dia. | requires 1x40W G9 halogen bulb. Not UL listed, though suitable for US/CA market.

Design Ferruccio Laviani, 2004. Polycarbonate, metallic ABS. Made in Italy by Kartell. A reminiscence of the 70's with his Easy and Fl/Icon lamps which featured playfulness, joy and color. After Take, with its young, informal and amusing design, we introduce the Bourgie lamp, of classic inspiration, the revisiting of a classic: the baroque lamp. The revolutionary invention of this lamp is it is made entirely in transparent polycarbonate. On one hand, it is classical, rich, traditional and on the other, it is innovation, transparency, irony. The quality of the material and the extremely high-quality processing makes it look like a precious, crystal lamp. The baroque style base is constituted of three decorated layers that cross over each other, and the large hood is made with a plisse effect, to create a play on reflections when lit. Thanks to a special coupling system on the hood, it can be assembled at three different heights. You can use it as a side table in the drawing room, or place it on the bedside table for evocative bedroom lighting; as a sculptural object it can be placed directly on the floor, or used as a reading lamp on a desk. Light intensity is adjustable through a high quality switch dimmer. The chrome and gold finish versions are produced in a limited edition. 14.5" dia | 26.75", 28.75" or 30.75" tall. Take is available in two versions: transparent polycarbonate in varying shades or solid colors, in white and black. Its refined style is the result of attention given to the quality of the finishings and of the care taken in the polycarbonate injection process, which, for example, allow for the clear delineation of the inner pleating of the lampshade, giving a rich, luminous crystalline effect. The perfect packaging, for a cash and carry product, makes it an excellent "ready to buy" gift idea. Thanks to the young and informal atmosphere it manages to create with its simplicity, Take fits perfectly into any room of the house as well as in public places (bars and restaurants, hotel foyers and rooms). 7.3" w | 11.8" h | 7" d. Modernica Half Nelson Table Lamp
Design George Nelson, 1950. Aluminum (powder coated, chrome & anodized) Made in USA by Modernica. The 'Half-Nelson' Lamp, a magnum opus from the innovative George Nelson Office, circa 1950. It is a definitive example of George Nelson's visionary design. Stripped down into the most essential shapes, Nelson playfully transforms a cylinder, rod and discus into an enduring work of art. George Nelson originally designed the 'Half-Nelson' Lamp in 1950 for a large-scale design project, Holiday House. Holiday House was a commissioned design vacation home, on the southern coast of Long island, for a magazine of the same name. George Nelson designed the home and most of its furnishings. The 'Half-Nelson' was designed specifically for the living room, however it only remained a prototype. At a later date, Nelson re-introduced his 'Half-Nelson' design to Koch & Lowy, an American Lighting Company. Koch & Lowy put the 'Half-Nelson' into production in 1977 and remained in production until the mid-eighties. Each lamp is built by Modernica, in Los Angeles, to George Nelson's original specifications. The 'Half-Nelson' Lamp utilizes a pivoting shade, which is fully adjustable giving it the ability to direct light in all directions. The cylinder base and disc are both constructed of black powder-coated aluminum, while the underside of the disc is powder-coated white. The stem connecting the two is made of chromed-aluminum and the on/off switch is built of machined-anodized aluminum. Modernica continues to revitalize designs that previously were only available to a select few, thus making good design available to all. shade: 15" dia. | stem: 17.5" h | 0.5" dia. | base: 8" h | 4.5" d | black cord: 8'4" L. floor to lip of shade at a level position: 17" h. includes 40W/120V energy efficient bulb.

The inspiration behind Perf comes from far away in time and space, creating a lamp which takes you by surprise with its personality: a domestic totem, a friend to follow us all around the home, a fascinating code of luminous openings to be deciphered. The starting point was the concept of perforated lamps as in the North African tradition, but designed with a contemporary flavor, while being technological and innovative. Light and easy to carry, Perf stands out at first sight with its perforated diffuser in its heavily pronounced shape, bringing to mind the visor of a suit of armour or even an animal's beak. A totally original luminous gesture, waiting to accompany you through all the different times of your life. Made of metal, Perf is available in three versions - wall, reading and table light - and in three colors: aluminium, black and brown. Foscarini Anisha Table Lamp
Design Studio Lievore Altherr Molina, 2011. ABS, LED with touch dimmer. Made in Italy by Foscarini. Like a fluid and enveloping frame, an irregular ellipse that gives a sense of becoming, Anisha outlines an empty space, defines it and fills it with its light, producing a magical sensation. Its plastic, dynamic shape offers itself up to the light, generating multiple reflections on its surface and revealing its sculptural essence. Anisha is not just a lamp, but a surprising, personal object you will fall in love with at first sight. The desire to emphasize Anisha's plastic nature, its balance of full and empty spaces, determined the need to hide the light source within it. This is why LED technology, with its minimal bulk, was chosen for the lamp, with a 'touch' switch that is also integrated in its shape and responds to the simple touch of a finger. Available in two sizes and two colors - pure white that blends with the space or red for a decisive, recognizable presence - Anisha is suitable for a wide range of settings, environments and uses in the entrance, in a lounge, bedroom or on a desk, with its light spirit and unmistakable identity: both on and off. small: 12.6" h | 9.1" w | 2" d | includes 3,4W 3000K with touch dimmer. large: 18.1" h | 13" w | 2" d | includes 4,5W 3000K with touch dimmer.

    Foscarini Tua Table Lamp
Design Marco Zito, 2010. Lacquered aluminum. Made in Italy by Foscarini. A table lamp with which you can create a personal relationship; surprisingly simple, because it has been thought out with a great deal of care. Tua is inspired by the palm of the hand containing a light: a gesture interpreted in a single, shaped metal plane that is both the support and shade of the lamp. The light source is hidden inside the range of the curve, whose aesthetic has a characteristically fine cut. When the light is on, it creates a pleasantly intimate glow, perfect for all those spaces dedicated to the single person (bedside table or work table). The lamp lends itself even to a multiple interpretation: interior-exterior, two-dimensional/three-dimensional, a graphic sign and a functional lamp, which is always elegant, reassuring and friendly. An architect, Marco Zito graduated under Vittorio Gregotti at the IUAV in 1994. Since 1996 he has been teaching in the faculty of Design and Arts of IUAV Venice and Industrial Design degree course of the San Marino University, as well as at the Industrial Design Centre of Montevideo (Uruguay), as invited lecturer. Louis Poulsen Arne Jacobsen Table Lamp
Design Arne Jacobsen, 1957. Steel stem, spun steel shade, die cast zinc base. Made in Denmark by Louis Poulsen. The AJ table lamp was designed, among other lighting fixtures, for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The AJ table lamp is on the same principles as the AJ floor, but due to the useability as a working desk lamp the shade has been expanded. The base of the table lamp was originally intended to accommodate an ashtray but now contributes solely to the design. The standard lamp consists of a lampholder in an enameled brass pipe. A tilting mechanism has been installed in the pipe. The angles of the conic metal shade are made to be flush with the lampholder at the top, at least that was the intention, but in reality it is raised a little as an optical correction. When the lamp is tilted downwards, the edge is horizontal. The inside of the shade is matt white enamel. The light source is effectively screened for diffused lighting. Using a clear incandescent bulb the light is exploited the best way and the the light rays delineated preciesly. Arne Jacobsen was very productive both as an architect and as a designer. His cooperation with Fritz Hansen dates back to 1934. The Ant and Series 7 chairs, produced in 1952, propelled both Jacobsen and Fritz Hansen's names into furniture history. At the end of the 50's Arne Jacobsen designed the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, which introduced the Egg, the Swan, the Swan sofa and Series 3300 to the design world. Arne Jacobsen was and is an admired and outstanding designer. His furniture and other design work have become a national and international heritage. PH 4/3 table lamp is a member of the of the PH 3-shade family principles, which were developed in the winter of 1925-26 for a large exhibition hall in Copenhagen, Denmark called "Forum". The combination of diffused reflection and a logarithmic shade curve gave PH the opportunity to control a fixture's glare and shading, as each shade would evenly decrease the amount of light emitted according to their distance from the bulb. The PH lamps were designed as a rational lighting system where the size of the shade, its material, and its surfaces could be combined mutually according to the nature of the assignment. The PH3-shade system started out as a pendant solution but very quickly it also developed into other kinds of fixtures and chandeliers.
