• Jacob Bromwell Ben Franklin Beer Stein
Jacob Bromwell Ben Franklin Beer Stein
Benjamin Franklin, inventor of nearly everything, was too busy to make his own beer, but he certainly enjoyed partaking of it. So did many of Jacob Bromwell's other founding fathers, including George Washington who brewed his own beer at home. While beer may have its roots in Europe, settlers brought their own recipes and started one of America's oldest traditions. The Jacob Bromwell period-accurate beer stein is made from pure copper and shares the same qualities as some of the best modern American beers - handcrafted in small batches by red-blooded American artisans who take pride in their work. And since copper is a natural insulator, you can sip slowly while your ale stays perfectly chilled. So raise a toast with family and friends and bring America alive as you down your favorite brew. Features: Made in the USA. Dimensions: Overall: 6.5" H x 6" W x 3.5" D. Overall Product Weight: 2lbs.

  • Pre-owned Art Deco Nickel Plated Tea Set
Pre-owned Art Deco Nickel Plated Tea Set
Gleaming Art Deco tea kettle with matching creamer and sugar. The set has a fluted design in nickel over copper with modernist black Bakelite knobs and handles. The three pieces, obtained from an estate, came with a note saying that this set was used as a prop in the movie, "Warm Springs" (2005). The movie was about Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his retreat in Warm Springs, GA. The pieces are in great condition; there is wear that is commensurate with age and use. The tea kettle shows evidence of service. The bottom indicates having been placed on a burner. Some lime buildup is apparent inside. The handle is slightly dull from handling and there is slight crazing in the nickel plate. The creamer and sugar are in better condition. The creamer does not have a lid. It does not seem to have come with one. Measurements: Teakettle: 8" High to knob. 12" High to top of handle. Base - 9" in diameter. Overall 11"W to tip of spout.
