Phoebe Kessler adds some happiness and joy to her stiff group of friends. Phoebe is a nice beam of sunshine, a contrast to stoic Ruby, poker-faced Anneliese, and nervous Cindy. Phoebe, although recognizing the importance of work, is a bit more easygoing, lazy, and carefree. She is openly vivacious, and needs a man to match her compulsive streak. The Kesslers, although wishing Phoebe would calm down, do take pride in their daughter's genuine happiness with her life.
