I already know I need to make another one. Casablanca is possibly the most romantic intelligent movie of all time. When I first saw it, I was young and didn't really get it. I knew about Rick and Ilsa, but the rest of it was lost on me. The war stuff, the gambling, Victor Laszlo and his role, Peter Lorrie, didn't get him...now I'm older and I get it and I'm struck by how complex and important this movie was...that is wasn't just the romance, there is SO much more to it! But still at the heart, the romance is a stunner and well deserving of it's reputation.
