Here's the post I promised all of you I would do- The heap of collectibles I found at Saturday's flea market!
There was an intoxicating waft of espresso in the air that morning, so I naturally kickstarted my morning with a cup of freshly brewed espresso at the market! The Italians truly know their coffee!!! (as I have said so countless times) The coffee was fantastic as expected, and I knew I had to load up on espresso beans, I ended up getting 3 cans of Illy Espresso beans. The cute Italian guy selling the beans even gave me a shopping bag for free, it was just the beginning of a great shopping day for me!
I'm a real sucker for cute accessories and fragrances! So it was only expected that I didn't have to walk far before a huge tent displaying endless rows of necklaces and bracelets caught my attention. It was really fun picking out what I fancied. The woman practically shoved a basket in front of my nose urging me to pick whatever I liked. I could have easily bought everything that was on display, everything looked so good! But I did finally decide upon a multichain black necklace, a cute bird cuff and a steel charm bracelet. These items would be good additions to my current accessories collection. I am on a continuous quest to refrain from picking out more stuff knowing that my accessories cabinet back home is already overflowing with costume jewellery I have yet to wear!
Next up, oh the fragrances booth! I got myself a Bergamot & Lime aromatherapy candle, cranberry seed rejuvenating facial oil, a heart-shaped box of hand crafted soaps and two bags of bath bombs. Bath bombs are my current favorite item to use in the bath, throw them in the warm water, watch them pop and fizzle out right before your eyes and their scent is simply amazing long after they disintegrate! I thought the raspberry/orange and candied apple scent was really invigorating so I bought them without much hesitation at all. I might just use one of them today in the hotel!!!!
It was no less than a few seconds later that something sparkling in the sun caught my fancy. It was the loveliest stainless steel sugar bowl!!!! Perfectly polished and like new! I knew I just had to get this, as I love to entertain and I know this will come in handy!
Just as I thought I was done shopping for the morning, something else caught my eye. A replica Botero oil painting!!!! There is something about the Botero series of paintings that I absolutely love! Maybe it's because fat women are endearing! The energy in this one was just undeniable!!!! I love any painting with dancers in it!!! I also got a picture frame, I have a weakness for photo frames, you never know when there's a nice photo you might want to display!
Total damage that morning: 60 Euros excluding the coffee beans and aromatherapy candle!
