I braided 16 strands of fine cotton cords, in the ancient Japanese style called Kumihimo, and attached an antiqued bronze compass. ☼ I have three of these: a 7", a 7 3/4", and an 8 3/4". Figuring out the proper size for you: Measure your wrist with a tape measure. If you don't have a tape measure, wrap a strip of paper or string around your wrist, then measure that with a ruler. Add at least a 1/2 inch to your wrist measurment, more if you prefer a loose braclet. Cut a string to your wrist size plus the added 1/2 inch and see how it feels.
